Who's waiting for the Steam version?

It’s seemed like they’re certainly more involved with the dev team than just site work and moderation in the past. I don’t think that’s the first time I’ve heard a tease of there being more in store, either.

Thats weird…

I tried installing Black Mesa, but it didn’t work. Twice. I need to find out what the problem is. Otherwise, I am waiting for the Steam version.

This perhaps?

and don’t forget the Deathmatch.

Houndeye in Dota 2 seems to be based on the model from Black Mesa:

Steam release soon?

Looks like a houndeye. I don’t see anything special.

Not sure about that but am I the only one that read this on that page?

That was a cruel joke I believe.

It think it’s just a joke since it’s italized.

This thread’s as good as any to outright as I guess…

What’s the deal with this not being on Steam?

We pushed HARD for this to be one of the first releases on Greenlight, and it almost was. Instead we get McPixel.

Almost a year later, and it’s not on Steam. What happened? Is something bigger going on? Did VALVe say, “Nah.”

Like, why isn’t this currently a part of Steam… and why is everyone so silent about it?

I keep looking for direct answers on the forums and everywhere else, but all I see is people posting “let’s get this on Steam.”

Okay, great… but what’s the current issue? Some MYSTERIOUS awesomeness between the devs on VALVe, or did people just forget that everyone tried really hard to share the Greenlight page with their friends to make this a reality?

don’t worry, it’ll get on steam eventually

the silence is because of a non-disclosure agreement with Valve, which is standard practise for these kinds of things

IMO, Greenlight accepts heavy WiP projects. Even Black Mesa is released, the 1/4 of the game is not finished yet so maybe Valve considers it still as a WiP game.

3/4 of the game is not finished? How does 13 of the 17 chapters equal only 1/4th done?

My bad, 3/4 of the game is the only one finished

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
