Instead of downloading the mod directly I’m going to hold out for the Steam version. After waiting 8 years I can handle a few more weeks!

Screw that. The standalone version will be just as good.
I’ll also get it when it comes out on Steam, of course.
I will not only wait for the Steam Version, I will wait until the final chapters are implemented. I might even wait for Half Life 3 and play through the entire series again with Black Mesa standing in for the original.

I’m downloading and installing the very damned second I can. Of course I’ll switch over to Steam when it’s released, but knowing Valve that could be months, so screw that for the time being.

I get absolutely terrible download rates with Steam.
Assuming the internet doesn’t explode due to the release of BM I will use the mirrors.
But since there is likely to be over 9000 people attempting to DL it at the same time I can’t imagine that I’ll be able to get it for the next few days.

I get pleasant rates in steam. I’ve had peaks/sustained of ~80-90MB/s in steam, but I too will be using the mirrors.
P.S: Hopefully enough people use torrents so the mirrors stay relatively load free.
