Who's waiting for the Steam version?

Maybe they’ll release their first patch with the Steam version.

Why wait! Download now…enjoy…play…then download with steam and play all over again!

Sounds good to me!

It’s been alluded to a few times. For example:

Of course that’s definitely no guarantee, but still. Also patching would make sense.

I can’t wait tell it comes to Steam I’'m already on my second play through.

I hope the achievement achieved are still valid when I move over to the Steam Version

Probably not, but really, how hard were they to obtain? Snark achievement is the only one I found difficult, and that was mostly because of the Snark shortage.

The most difficult one was taking the purple hat to the Portal…

Mine was rolling away and of course, felt in the water and such …

Both of these may well be fixed in the Steam version. The odd physics with the Secret Hat and the Lambda Core portal, and the shortage of Snarks…

Ah yes, I forgot about those posts for a moment there. I guess some very strong-minded people just want to start off their BM experience with the (first) improved version of the game.

Personally I didn’t wait and started playing as soon as I could. Encountered a lot of bugs and stuff but nothing too immersion- or game-breaking.

Just go into skill.cfg and increase the number of Snarks, that’s what I did.

Some of us don’t have the SKILLS… to edit skill.cfg.

that is what I am hoping for, that the steam version will be slightly updated and tweaked.

I am looking forward to the steam version for this reason

Isn’t everyone? The question is just “Are you WAITING?”

Not really waiting no, I have the mod, so…

For me it doesn’t matter if it’s by Steam or any other way

Fair enough.

I’m waiting for the steam release to replay it.

Sounds like a plan.

I’m waiting for Xen to replay it. And to play Ep2. I want to do a complete HL marathon

Sounds good to me. And who knows? By the time the Xen levels come out, we may have HL2:Ep3 or HL3.

Seems unlikely, but that would be awesome.

I really hope the release through Steam will make it possible to make mods of BM.
