Which Suit is better - Mark IV or Mark V?

For me, Mark IV is better because you can put more ammunition to this suit than Mark V. Its jump is also seems to be higher and also doesn’t mix the power of the suit with flashlight, oxygen, sprint or any things that require the suits power.

are you serious

you’re just describing what game you prefer

None of that has anything to do with the suit, just gameplay.

Mk. IV looks better to me, though. That’s really all.

Mk. IV has better looks, but Mk.Vb (b stands for the EP2 “upgrade” with Flashlight power, designation trollingright me) has way better features.

And Mk.IV/BM beats them both with unlimited sprint, flashlight and the looks of original Mk.IV.

Hehe.

The Mk. 5 looks way comfier. you can’t even sit down or walk if you have the mk. 4

And Mk.IV/BM is apparently really heavy, because you have to crouch jump to get anywhere.

Yeah hehe. I wasn’t really bothered though, since all my jumps in Valve games are crouch jumps

Me too…

now.

I prefer the Mark 5.1, with the modified flashlight that enables you to sprint longer while your flashlight suffers no harm.

No brainer. The Mk. V has a built in toilet system.

the Mk. III was way better. It had a working flashlight and the voice was far sexier. the 4 and 5 are full of suit bloat

MK IV doesn’t even have joints to fucking move in. Plus the MK V’s back charger looks awesome.

MKV

Hazard suits are for pussies. Ridiculous ties are where it’s at.

Pfft, the Mk II.5 was the best by far. Sure, it didn’t have the armor, but the flashlight was way brighter and it even had a functioning intravenous nourishment system. The MK IV and V just have a pocket for granola bars.

you posers aint got shit on the original, the timeless,
The Mark

so which was the one that doesn’t twitch your nuts again ?

In the original Half Life, the HEV Suit’s armor not only absorbed 66% of all damage received, it also reduced the total amount of damage any given attack would inflict on the player (i.e. enemy melee attacks would do a total of 6 damage instead of 10 if the suit had power). This changes in Half Life 2, where the player receives the same amount of damage whether or not the HEV suit has any armor energy. To compensate, the HEV suit armor is more effective in Half Life 2, absorbing 80% of all damage received instead of 66%.
