Which MP5 model do you prefer?

New one.

I prefer the older version a lot more, but I think it’s more important that it sounds like an actual MP5 (unlike in the game trailer). The flash the new model generates in the Wiki video looks unusual, but I’m guessing that’s just for testing.

Will it be included in the game files, in case someone wants to finish the animations and compile a .qc?

This whole page is srs deja vu.

Thats too bad, I was looking forward to using it. Well, I don’t mind. I suggest that if you have the time to, finish it because I’m sure that I’m not the only one who would use it.

The most realistic one. The more realitic and like our world Black Mesa is, the more in game I will be.

reading these replies my opinion isn’t a newsflash

Let it look like the older version but updated

… but… can you please make an option to chose the hud you want to use in bm? because i really LOVE this hud:

i hope you will be able to use it in bm…

I think it would be neat if there was a seperate Development Pack which could be downloaded… I’m not going to use it but some one would.

As for the MP5 the Opposing force2 Mod that put out a demo had a pretty slick little mp5 with a silencer on the end and I thought it was pretty bad ass…

As for the Camo… I think if there were varying degrees of difficulty available it would be pretty neat for them to be remapped to an urban combat style. I might be simple but I never really felt the Olive what ever was out of place when I see green camo I think military rambo’s coming to kick my @$$… I liked it still like it but variety is cool… I did think the beret’s were kinda stupid its like a big red head shot target really…

Either way I think its great the devs want to know what makes us happy but honestly… The MP5 I want to see is the one that’s on my PC shooting the shit out of anything that moves!

same here…

I prefer the one used in video portal spawding test

While true, I have left in a few concepts/tests/ideas which users may turn on if they so wish. These features can be toggled in the game options menu at main menu. You will be warned that these features are not fully supported and recommend that you play with them off on your first play-through.

You can adjust the hud as you like by modifying the key files. The extra work to have different generations of huds supported goes beyond what I’m willing to do.

:hmph:

Will these cvars be pointed out in the game’s README (if you have one)?

Also, will an achievement list be posted prior to release? (Assuming this feature is still in the pipeline)

EDIT: Admittedly this could have gone in the “Got A Question” area but I figured the quote for reference was from here, so the question should stay in the same discussion for convenience’s sake)

Whoops, didn’t see that. Sorry for the redundantly redundant question. With regards to it’s redundancy.

New one

lawl at Freeman’s Mind joke.

But seriously, even if you don’t like the MP5 model, there’s more than likely going to be mods where you can switch the weapons out with something else.

There are a lot of NIST people working where I work and, according to my boss, it takes forever for them to get the “new” tech because of security concerns. I don’t think that would apply to monitors, but then again I don’t do the purchasing :stuck_out_tongue:
(most, if not all, of the NIST people in the two buildings we cover, are running Windows XP still, because the NIST VPN client doesn’t play nice with Vista or 7.)

only posted because of necro

I hope you guys realize that you can easily download the old mp5 model from different skin sites right.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
