Where's the executable?

I had a go at the game via the ‘play Black Mesa’ check box in the installer, but now I can’t find the executable or any shortcut which will re-open the game. Searching for ‘*.exe’ in the game folder (C:\Games\BMS) doesn’t seem to find it. How do I get back into this game?

restart steam

its in your games list

make a shortcut/run it from there

The game will appear in your steam library. If you do not see it, you need to restart steam to refresh your game library.

Make sure you have installed it in the same drive as where you have steam installed…

the installer doesnt even give you an option, it automagically installs it in the right place

Cool, I’ve reinstalled it to the default folder (the installer does let you choose to put it elsewhere, but obviously that’s not a good idea). Thanks guys!

So the mod itself has to be installed to the same drive that Steam is on, for it to be seen?

It has to be in the same directory as other HL2 mods in the Steam directory.

Ah, I’ll have to uninstall it and reinstall in the right place then.

Thanks.

The executable is here…

“Steam\SteamApps\common\Source SDK Base 2007\hl2.exe”

That’s the worst bump I’ve ever witnessed.

necro-posting FTW!!!

In all seriousness though, please check the last post date before posting next time, thanks.

Back from the crypt.

Wow why did this had to be bumped…shit is almost from 1 year ago.

Good ol’ times
