When will my suffering end!?

Yeah, it’s funny. I wanted to play Black Mesa before I started High School and I graduated a few years ago.

:’(

Wait tight patient fellows, I am very sure this will release sometime extremly soon. My guess is that they are inserting the music into the game and patching up some last bugs. Putting music in games and synching it right is actually pretty hard.

I’m fairly certain they’ve already put the music in the game. The soundtrack going gold has nothing to do with that. The fixing up part though…well…

They are still debug the mod damn this is taking forever…

They will release the day when Gabe will retire

HAHAHAHA… I actually believe this…

Read this it will shut you all up so read it ALL!

Wow. this is truly sad. Even duke nukem is released before black mesa…

And the links for twitter and youtube, show those two are DEAD for over a year now…truely sad.

Look at the dev quotes. Heh. Irony.

dnf had also been in development for almost twice as long, and is a commercial game, so i dont see how that means anything

Well it obviously doesn’t, but it’s just funny because we used Duke Nukem: Forever as a jumping board for jokes for so many years when relating to Black Mesa for comedic reasons. Having it quickly release before Black Mesa is like an ironic spit in the face.

But I’ll bet my entire sack of balls that Black Mesa will be light years better than DNF. :bms:

[COLOR=‘Black’]"Oh look at that, I’m in the mood to fuck around with the bold and underline wraps. "

no shit sherlock
but no it’s not funny and it’s not an ironic spit in the face, and he wasnt even trying to be funny

The sad fact is that Half-Life 2, even before it’s engine update looked better than the released DNF , and I wasn’t even talking about gameplay.

Because it’s the Half Life way.

Valve fans have become accustomed to long waits. The modding community is no exception  .

But damn, I miss the days when games were easy to mod. Got some real classics :stuck_out_tongue:

Source engine is comparatively easy to mod too. It’s just the scale that’s different.

No, it is quite hard compared to other engines. And the workflow is not the best either.

EDIT:
Oh, ninja’d.

Nope. It’s accessibility just comes from how available it is, not how easy it is to use (it ain’t).

Valve says they’re improving the tools a lot, let’s see how that works out.

suddenly Valve releases Source 2.0 with bokeh DOF, per object/ bone motion blur, subsurface scattering, tessellation, lit particles, voxel particles, apex cloth physics, fluid dynamics, deferred lighting/ radiosity, ambient occlusion/ direct occlusion, penumbra shadows from multiple light sources, DMM, and a partridge in a pear tree

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
