People will mod black mesa for sure, assuming that it will be released as modable and not protected content in the same vein as Half Life and let the spirit live on… People will want to add to it or change things, either way it will be interesting to see what happens.
People will also start creating maps for the release of deathmatch too, I think that it will most certainly be a creative explosion of magnitudes we have yet seen the like of even surpassing content and game modes created for TF2 and CSS.
It does not matter if a game engine is old either, If a game is good then thats enough to keep it alive, I still play old retro games some of them far better than new releases simply for the gameplay alone, and addictiveness, If it has these qualities upon release like the original then there will be no stopping it

Hey, does anyone remember that scene in the movie AI when the future found the boy AI at the end of the movie? I’m guessing that will be kind like what happens here. In 2246 a group of adventurers will unearth the DVD labeled Black Mesa and it will be so archaic that they will simply dismiss it and toss it out, since it will no longer be able to be played on any type of media, LOL.

i think this forum will still have alot of the fun stuff for sure. but i also think it will have other stuff. like alot of. “what did you do to get passed ??? part of the game” or “improvement suggestions” or a thread were you can tell about glitches or something. or mabey even a thread about how cool it is lol.
