When Black Mesa is finally released, what does that mean? The community–will it die out? No more funny threads with our favorite community? No more complaining about the mod not being released? No more hype about the epic mod? No more flame wars over trivial subjects? No more Raminator? What will happen?
Umm what do I predict…well without sounding harsh, someone is bound to have a problem with the game. Despite how awesome it shall be, regardless of whether the game is perfect or not, someone always will have a bug because the engine can screw up for someone etc.
But I think it’ll kick along…and until they decide to make another mod Jks
Well they could choose to actively develop the game when it’s released and release patches until everyone’s contented with the game.
I’d hope they’d release the game this year. It’s 2010 for God’s sake. Well I understand that the dev team is full of part-time developers and only communicate with IM.
Maybe in other news… BM mod just switched to the L4D2 engine! A reboot is inevitable! Another 6 or more years to develop! Isn’t that nice? More and more people will be in this forums waiting for a mod that is never to be released…
Hi, and since I haven’t properly welcomed you, welcome
Also, I’d appreciate it if you didn’t say stuff like that. Not that I have any authority nor right to plead that, I was just saying it’d be nice
Also, yes I agree the title was maliciously conceived, but it’s not like it actually fooled you… right?
That means that we can all start making lists of what we thought were essential elements in HL1 that the devs left out in BM. Thus making us unhappy.
Hopefully. But no chance in hell.
“Funny” threads about “our” favorite achievements in Black Mesa.
Constant complaining about how On A Rail was cut down.
Hype about the release of material for use in Garry’s Mod, hype about the release of a patch, hype about the release of a making-of.
Flame wars over what level was best designed, over the lack of perceived homogeneity in the mod by certain members, over newbies ranting about the mod in a way that shows that they have never played HL1.
Raminator.
I don’t know, I won’t be there to see it. I won’t give a damn about those forums when the mod is released. :retard:
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
