Oh shit, really? Where???
Of course I’m aware of that one, but with awesomeface.jpg I meant the original huge one with yellow colours.

Yeah, I wasn’t looking hard or anything, I just thought it would be amusing to call you out! Cheers, I’m only a couple of months into really properly working with 3D, and apart from a very basic alarm clock that was my first creation which wasn’t following a very specific step-by-step tutorial. Unfortunately, I didn’t put any effort into sorting out proportions, which is why the legs are so tiny, and the back leg isn’t a different shape than the other two, and the top of the turret is too big, etc.
ManlyStump, at first i thought that was just a screenshot of a turret from the game, not something you made.
Good job!
Thanks! I guess nicking the in-game textures didn’t help that!
For someone new to modelling that is really good, regardless!
Update time:
Thanks,
Harry.
You never fail to amaze me Harry! May I ask how long you’ve been doing this?
Thanks man! Not very long, about 2 years on and off; it’s just a hobby of mine. I’ve only recently been taking it ‘seriously’ if you can call it that. I’m still at school so I can only work when I can make a gap in my coursework.
Last update for tonight:
Thanks,
Harry.
You should look into a possible career as modeller, it takes a lot of motivation, which obviously you don’t lack.
Your work is amazing!
Indeed.
Even Sir. James motherfucker Kane said so.
Wow, thanks guys! I’d love to get into something like that; I’m still at school at the moment but I’m starting to put a portfolio together for Uni.
I’ll start taking it more seriously next year.
Slowly but surely starting to take shape:
Thanks,
Harry.
Really amazing work you’ve pulled of in 2 years.
What light set up do you use? Im more into cinema for now but ill try out this 3D max everyone is talking about
Thanks!
I use the basic, built-in Scanline renderer and a Skylight for most of these. It’s really simple, quick to set up and renders fast. (about a minute)
For final renders I get a little more complicated, using Metal-Ray, HDR and the like.
Update time; started working on the back. It still needs some work though:
Thanks,
Harry.
I went back and fixed some of the proportions, and of course, added some more small details.
The arms are next!
Thanks,
Harry.
Shit man! That’s really good.
Thanks.
Uuuuuupdate time:
Harry.
Wow
Dem details.
