I don’t have any middle names.
My first name is Maarten, which means “satisfied warrior” (“of Mars”)
My middle name is Brecht, which means “shining/clear”
Add to that my family name (“the Black”), and you get a Shiny, Satisfied Black Warrior.
Yay :<
?
That’s exactly what came into my mind.
Alexander Orr
or Alex
Alejandro or you can call me Alex
Do you live in BC?
BC?
Most people I know don’t have any middle names at all. My parents both have only one. In yo face.
Never mind the Ezra I know doesn’t happen to post in the BM forums, false alarm.
Well, I’m from Belgium so unless it’s an internet buddy it couldn’t have been me anyway
never heard that one before
Well, you have to be baptised I suppose, although I’m not religious I’m sure most people here have been baptised.
At least if you’ve been born before circa 2000, nowadays people who aren’t religious probably won’t get their children baptised, but a decade ago it was done almost automatically even if your parents weren’t religious. It was just tradition.
Personally I don’t know anyone in my family or friends who isn’t baptised, even though none are religious.
Aw damn it, now I’m going to pronounce your name all Welsh!
Well, I’m just saying that if you’ve been baptised you automatically get two middle names (one for each godparent), and since lots of people got baptised they should also have two middle names.
Obviously different cultures have different name-giving customs, like in certain parts of Spain where your middle name is based on your place of birth (I think).
Also, considering Nosehole’s previous avatar, I’m glad he didn’t name himself Arsehole
I know almost no one who has been baptised, as far as I know. Maybe my grandmother on my father’s side, as she was raised as a Catholic.
Hey, I remember that game. Or at least the 3D version. Tis fun game.
Well I’m baptised and I don’t have any middle name.
I guess you didn’t go for the deluxe version of baptizing then
I have a last name for a first name (Russell), so I go by Russ.
I worked with a guy whose first name was Rick (not Richard) and his middle name was “L” - it didn’t stand for anything, it was just a letter. He even showed me his ID’s to prove it.
I’ve been baptized, and only have one middle name: William.
Also, I have no godparents.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
