What's the closest you've come to death?

I asked people on the Black Mesa Forums when Black Mesa was going to be released. That was a weird day.

Around here there are these ridiculously nonsensical stoplights where you cross half the road, and then there’s a second stoplight that’s still on red. Saturday I wasn’t paying attention and I nearly got hit :fffuuu:

nearly a year ago. I wasn’t drunk but my leg was hurt, so i was walking really weird suddenly I fell from the sidewalk and a really fucking fast car nearly hit me. The driver stopped his car and started running after me, chasing me but i ran away.
:fffuuu:

You actually died. Your perception of him running after you was actually him trying to revive your corpse.
Think about it:* Why would anyone stop their car for NOT hitting somebody?

  • Why would anyone chase someone they’ve nearly hit?
  • Why would a man with a hurt leg, who nearly got hit by a car, be able to outrun a guy who was fresh onto his feet after driving around?

I’m afraid you ran, and not in the direction of the light, but away from it because you still had matters in the living realm worrying you. I’m afraid you are trapped here until you truly accept that fact.

ahaha possible but…

The guy is a freaking maniac I know him. Everybody knows him. He chases everyone who enters their property with an axe (rofl it can’t even probably cut a paper). He has an awesome shotgun. He throws very small stones at little kids playing in front of his house. He was in jail for 5 years. He’s fucking old, Seriously old. Even turtles are faster than him. Do you think I should find him? Maybe I will come back to life! :bulb:

He was probably pissed because I jumped in front of his car when he was driving fast. Maybe he thought if I died he would go to jail. Who knows? I don’t even know if that guy is still alive.

Once I was playing soccer in a middle of a field o’ hedges, and my head fell through one of the spaces and right into the bike lane. This dude flipped off his bike cuz my head was in the way. I wake up with six shirts in the garbage and 17 stitches in my head.

Bscly, the most dangerous thing I made in my whole life that almost killed me was hiting my toe on a desk. Damn, was it painfull. It’s a good thing my mother was here to cheer me up, because I wouldn’t have made it without her help.

This is an internet forum, not a movie starring Patrick Swayze.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
