What would you change?

OFC I DO! Specially Hubicorn :stuck_out_tongue:

I would add a boring and long winded chapter, taking place underground in some sort of delivery train. I would have it so that no living being could fully enjoy the annoying soldiers and stupid concept.

Oh wait.

Wut?

I would make it so that, if you didn’t push the Xenian crystal into the AMS, you’d get kicked out of the chamber and then someone else would push the crystal in and you’d be stuck there, like a fool, as that guy goes on to be the savior of all City 17. You’ll be killed by a leech when you’re ordered to get some supplies from a flooded storage room.

Sucks to be you.

I’d make Gordon Freeman Alyx’s father

:fffuuu:

On a Rail.

I would replace Kleiner with Dave Chapelle, G-man with Eddie Murphy, Eli with Martin Lawrence and Alyx with Katt Williams.

I’d make this topic locked.

I would change the level of difficulty of the AI and make it more challenging/realistic. A game should be both entertaining and challenging. I was just thinking of Half Life 2, where the combine would stand conveniently next to explosive barrels for 1/2 the campaign. Like, what the ****? Just using an example of stupid crappy game play.

Honestly i would just add weapons and a longer story to half life and not try to fuck it up so much it doesn’t make sense beyond the fact it doesn’t already.

To take this thread seriously for a moment (shock! horror!), the thing that always bugged me about the original HL is this:

There’s too much time spent after you push the button to start the rotors on the anti-mass spectrometer until the delivery system brings the crystal to you.

I mean, there’s only two things you do in the test chamber which brings about the green apocalypse: Push a button…wait…wait…wait…wait…wait…push a cart. It’s a little…weak?

If I were to change anything, there would be more things you have to do from the time you start the rotors until the crystal is delivered that would make you feel more responsible for the onslaught to come.

For example: “Gordon, boost the anti-mass spectrometer to 105%.” “Okay, very good. Activate the stage 2 emitters…now.”

I mean, otherwise, you’re just a monkey.

The problem still remains, it still would feel like Gordon is unresponsible.

Perhaps, but when I play through the game, I end up waiting by the delivery cage from the time the button shield closes to the carrier arriving, which seems like forever and a day. I want something to do while waiting.

At least, feel a little more involved in the whole process.

you ARE , just a monkey , in G-man’s hands…

The Wandering God

I bet you would.

Wouldn’t we all…

i wouldn’t

The Wandering God

I would probably make CP’s in HL2 completely unmodified humans, and then when the rebellion begins some of them come to join your cause.

Hmmm… might make a good mod?

Anyway, if you guys don’t get back on-topic you’ll probably get infractions/close the thread down anyway. Please continue so I can receive lulz. I actually think this thread has something to it unlike 80% of the other crap that gets posted.

Actually, they are completely unmodified humans. As for joining your cause, if you look closely you’ll notice that the rebels are all wearing CP vests. They could have just stolen them, but I like to think there may be more behind it.

I thought they were modified, however much less than the Soldiers. They had thought supression devices implanted in their brains or something… Wow, they must have been complete douchebags to stay with the Combine…

Yeah if they were unmodified I think I’ll assume some did betray Breen, it gives me hope in humanity :stuck_out_tongue:
