Hi guys I have in mind to buy a new processor soon but I cant choose between this two so I hope you can tell me which is the best (To gaming, media and video encoding:

Problem?
As far as gaming goes, you can get an i5, save $100, and not see any performance hit. I don’t know what sort of effect that would have on video encoding, though. And as for those two, the 2600K is the newer of the two, so I would go with it.
I have an i5 2500K.
yeah the 2nd gen i5’s can overclock to well beyond 1st gen i7 speeds, and they are more effective per core and per clock
obviously make sure the motherboard is compatible with the processor
