I’m looking forward to the trainride into the complex at the beginning the most. Best game intro ever imho.
Downloading it will be the most exciting time.
I agree, haha. Downloading it will be like the building up of sex, and playing it will be like the extended orgasm.
Watch the trailer again, and listen closely when the G-Man appears and says ‘prepare for unforeseen consequences’. That’s not a Valve-recorded line, but done by DeBeerGuy, a BM voice actor (who also does the guards).
He must be new. New is good. We welcome new. Good afternoon new person!
It’s funny that, given that in Half-Life 2 it’s the same voice actor who voices Barney and Gman. I wonder if they talk the same normally… :retard:
Actually not really. I just didn’t do a search on whether Sound file’d be re-used for G-man.
Either way the G-mans voice actor did very good. I thought it was re-used and edited from that line in episode 2.
Of course. Uhm… I knew that.
Download server crash.
… really. When it is released, upload it to at least 50 mirrors.
I honestly don’t know why some of you people are convinced that the devs are stupid and wouldn’t think of ways to effectively deliver the mod come release date.
Deliver it through steam! threaten valve with Ice cream and unicorns!Oh they’ll cave…
I don’t think they are stupid. :freeman:
Don’t flame. :3
If they show it to Valve ahead of time they might get picked up and put on Steam for release, but they’ve said that they will release pretty much as soon as it’s ready so I don’t think that would happen until a little while after release.
That would be nice, and there would be a lot less worry for crashing and/or slow servers on the release day.
In fact, I would almost prefer it released on Steam, but thats just my opinion.
Id have to say right after you get off of the train and enter the building where barney says your running late.
I like the tram area but playing it with the old half-life is quite annoying cause of the loading screens in between.
I hope your devs have developed a way to reduce or minimize its effect. I’d suggest you try continous maps that is implemented in modern game engines such as rockstar games’ RAGE/Euphora (ex. GTAIV but the pc port was badly implemented… I wonder if the PC version is fixed already) if the Source engine supports it. I’d like to see the game that you only see the loading screen once then you can play the game without interruption
While the source engine cannot do the GTA continuous environment effect, it does support maps that are significantly larger than the maximum in GoldSRC. This should mean fewer loading times.
I can’t wait to see the first level. Mmm.
That and when everything breaks down, will be awesome.
Like the start of Doom 3 and then it has it’s breakdown, loved it.
I wonder which regular person will be able to play BM first… [COLOR=’#212121’](or rather, on the topic, will get to see a part of BM that they’ve been anxiously awaiting)
Precisely. I love broken stuff in games.
