what other examples of "punishing" the player have you found in games?

Albeit, it’s a really low sum compared to the money you you usually have, but in some of the early parts of the game, it’s bad. I find it discouraging when you’re at a tougher point in the game it ends up costing you a good amount of money when it takes you a few attempts to get past it.

I think it’s acceptable if that one chapter that’s not before the ending, the financially you’re safe.

System shock is good example, theres always low resources and must play it right to continue playing, the good thing is that you can backtrack to previus levels until some point to get more ammo/money from random npcs that respawn.

I just hate that part where that dude always kills you whenever you do that thing.

What kind of game are you playing that costs money when you fail?

The War Z :stuck_out_tongue:

But if you do the other thing, he still kills you! WTF!!!

I no rite

You just have to attack its weak point for massive damage, guys.

What if the massive damage is all out of points?

Then you climb under it.

Then buy some others, obviously.

But you cant buy more if you have already crawled under it!!!

You have to use that special thing that the one guy gave you.

But when he rides that it gets too hard.

You actually have to use the thing you find in that cave place to avoid that. It incurs a slight penalty though.

/\sorry, we should have said “CAVE SPOILERS” before we posted. /\

In all seriousness, though, from what I’ve heard WarZ is worse than Activision in terms of money grubbing. Pay to play, pay to win, pay to respawn.
