What is the biggest troll game ever?

I nominate Perfect World International.

This game is the definition of pay to win. The makers of this game have perfected the art of microtransactions. There are people who literally sink thousands of dollars into this “free-to-play” MMO, and its so hard to do anything without buying from the cash shop that most people end up paying more for “optional” items than it would cost to just play WoW. Skill is no longer required to play, except for the skill of reading your credit card. The in-game economy is also now broken beyond repair and no one seems to care. They just stand around buying items to do nothing with. It is literally the digital version of feeding your cash into a shredder. It makes me weep for humanity.

What do you think is the trollingest game ever?

Black Mesa

^this

I know I’m not making a lot of friends here by posting this, but I’ve recently been having the same feelings about Team Fortress 2. It is amazing to see how much time and money some people sink into this game, for mostly purely cosmetic changes.

If that’s the case, Why don’t I Nominate World of Warcraft.

APB surely, the developers must have known that the servers wouldn’t stay up, but they advertised it and took subscriptions anyway, and then took everyone’s game away!

:meh: APB . Exactly what skyblue said.

Their fault. I think we are looking for a game where you have to throw money at it.

I don’t really know of one, I know a lot of old NES and SNES games just liked to make you die so their level designers didn’t have to think of more levels and could be lazy. Demon Souls is like that I hear.

Lose/Lose

Where every alien is a file on your computer and shooting them deletes the file.

That game is win. ):< You’re meant to tell your friend it’s a cool new version of space invaders and have him play it on his comp.

It isn’t really a money-sinkk, but I’ve been watching some Homefront vids recently, and it’s just about as trolling as it gets. The game looks IDENTICAL to CoD, just with worse graphics. The two look soooo similar it should be plagiarism.

Lack of checkpoints too, and when you die you drop all your money at that location, so until you fight your way back to your corpse you’re shit broke, you can’t go back to the “town” and stock up on items you have to replay the same level and fight the same monsters coming from the same spawn points again and again until you learn the pattern, and if wasn’t enough your weapons also deteriorate, got no money for repairs? game over.

Can’t really be considered trolling if you’re warned.

Fable 3

The subject is ‘troll game’. I’m not sure exactly what games do or don’t fit in that category, but: if people don’t have to spend money on a game in order to enjoy it and be good at it, yet somehow hundreds (thousands?) of people do, I’d say successful troll game is successful.

xbox live, shit they keep your credit card details and keep billing you till you call them.

A lot of subscriptions do that.

Most porn sites do.
I mean thats what I hear… From others… Yeah… Like friends… Right… Friends…

DNF… still ongoing.

Big Rigs: Over the road racing

If you are going to release a game, atleast finish it first

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
