No, I haven’t read them. After reading this, I may be tempted to.
Also, I don’t think I’ll ever reread Dark Materials, just in case I end up ruining the nostalgia. I want to keep them as some of the best books I’ve ever read in my mind.

I just finished The Hot Zone. Amazing book. Read almost all of it while high and it made it super intense. The Ebola virus is amazing in how it absolutely destroys it’s host.
Me too.
I read the series back in middle school and again this past fall. Started it again yesterday, such good books.
I wish I could read some Brooker, but America is all not very much selling them.
Move to England-land instead. OR drill a hole to England and construct some sort of trolley system to transport them to you.
Reading the Barrytown Trilogy by Roddy Doyle at the moment, great little insight into working class dublin life, and family in general. Full of filthy language, as is to be expected from the Dubs
Oh, please do - they’re hilarious (a particular passage about an alternative Eastenders storyline had me cackling like a madman).
I can’t not re-read it. Everything in it is wonderful, and the ending still gets me every damn time. The only other book I’ve cried to was ‘Animal Farm’…
I’m reading some piece of shit forteas book called “I taket lyser stjärnorna” (“In the ceiling shines the stars”). I dunno why I’m reading it, and I’ve already figured out the ending. The main char’s mom dies and she gets raped. Like EVERY SINGLE FUCKING forteas book.
Finished Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and returned it. Picked up Hammer of God and Time’s Eye by Arthur C Clarke.
Finally started reading Dust of Dreams, and it’s a-fucking-mazing. Almost missed a lecture because I got so stuck in.
Reading Frankenstein and loving it all over again for class. Also reading Hammer of God by Arthur C Clarke. And if comics count I’m reading Sandman, fucking awesome.
I’ve just finished reading Leonard Mlodinow’s The Drunkard’s Walk, and I found it to be pretty awesome. Explained a lot of stuff that I already knew, but also gave some brilliant insights on stuff I had no idea about; he’s also great in getting his point through and making you understand stuff better through his stories/analogies.
Also started reading Brian Greene’s The Elegant Universe, which is pretty much fuckin’ fantastic so far. In the first few pages I’ve already read two of the most amazing explanations of special relativity and some introduction to string theory and his way of writing is just awesome.
Also read Stephen Hawking’s Universe in a Nutshell recently, and I honestly didn’t think it’s anything special. Mainly because it lacks reasons/explanations. He just cites facts of modern Physics and shows how some stuff functions, but never really goes deep into anything. I guess it’s just to make it appealing to wider audiences, which is fair enough, but it just didn’t work for me :/.
I don’t get string theory. It seems kind of groundless, from what I’ve heard.
I started reading A Scanner Darkly I’m quite enjoying it thus far.
PKD ownz
I am currently reading Prey by Michael Cricton. The dude who wrote Jurassic Park. I’m almost done with it. Great read.
Both boring as shit.
and:
The title reads: Heir (or heritage) of the elves
It’s about Geralt of Riva (you probably know the character from the pc game “The Witcher”) and his adventures and misfortunes.
I can’t for the life of me find an English translation of this book online. Care to help?
Still reading Dust of Dreams (800 pages takes a while) but also for Uni stuff I’m also reading Derek Walcott’s Selected Poetry, No-Man’s Land by Harold Pinter and Endgame by Samuel Beckett. All pretty good, but Beckett wins by far.
Oh, what’s this? A kiss! :3 Oh boy! … :fffuuu:
