What Happened to the Crowbar?

In Half-Life: Source I mean. I’m not a genius with modeling or anything but I would like to get into it one day. But I just can’t put my finger on it. It seems like the texture has changed but that wouldn’t make any sense because they didn’t do that for anything else in the port. It looks good though. But I’ve always wandered what the technical term is for what they did to it.

what are you trying to say?

Can’t you see he just wants you to know he loves you?!

I think he wondering what they did to the crowbar model between goldsrc and the Source port of Half-Life. Like specularization, or retexturing.

It’s glossier, not unlike what happened to Barney’s helmet

Actually, I noticed Barney’s helmet being shinier, but I still don’t really see a difference on the crowbar.

The whole point of Half-Life source was just to show easy it was to port shit from the Goldsrc to Source

ill find your missing crowbar, just give me the keys to your house

It’s called a new engine. Same model, same textures, new lighting engine. That’s all.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
