What Game Did You Play Today?

I’ve heard nothing but good things about Mario Kart 8’s DLC. Go for it.

What I’ve been playing: A bit of CS:GO deathmatch and still trying to S-rank the main mission in Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes.

Cossacks in preparation for Cossacks 3.

I want so badly to be at least decent at RTS’ but I just never can. I’m playing the tutorial right now and while I’m completing them I still feel like I suck ass.

I tried Arma Gold. It’s not too bad, but I don’t really find it interesting at all.

Brother convinced me to try manual rather than automatic in Dirt Rally. I know how to drive manual but I thought it would be harder than it should be using a controller (I probably would have started with manual if I had a wheel) but it’s actually not that bad. I actually think I’m driving better because of it.

I’ve been grinding PAYDAY 2 solo for a while, because the only person I play with has exam prep.

Got 300 hours total today and level Infamy 1-100. Yay.

Played some more Dirt Rally and I’m almost finished with the Cossacks tutorial.

Remember Me.

Started it and got to the start of chapter 3 a few months ago and then abruptly stopped. I’m near the end now, and though 1-2 things recently really did surprise me and throw me for a twist, my suspicions about Edge have been unfaltering since the get-go. Dead Space ruined stuff like that for me ._.

Probably won’t ever try get all the achievements and collectibles. It’s not a bad game by any means but the combat can get frustrating sometimes and dear god the camera in general outright blows.

Got Shadowrun Dragonfall Director’s cut and its been pretty fun, just wish it a had a friggin autosave

I’m now replaying BioShock Infinite, since I recently bought the Season Pass. I still need to finish BioShock 1, but I have seen a Let’s Play of it. Falling in love with Infinite again, even more so now that my machine can max it at mostly 60fps.

Trying to find a good middle ground 4X game to waste time in. Civilization is a bit too simple (though I do like it, I just want something more involved) and Aurora was way way way too complicated for me. Right now trying out Stars!, though it seems more geared towards multiplayer than single player from what I’ve read about it.

Still trying to beat the first campaign in Cossacks too and playing Dirt Rally occasionally too.

Remember Me.

Finished it. Oh my lord that was not what I was expecting at all holy crap what in the bajeesus. So it was for the most part enjoyable (I think…). The voice work was great, the story was really good (lack of characters being fleshed out properly kinda sucked but oh well).
For a game that’s so action heavy it was just rigid and annoyingly repetitive a lot of the time. The camera flat out sucked most of the game, which can be hella annoying for a game with generally very tight areas. It’s a shame it was so linear and limited because it has/had such potential as a game. I got really bored of the combat in Batman: Arkham Asylum, so take that and make it clunkier and that’s what you’re dealing with.

Still glad I finished it though. 1 of my many many Steam games that I’ve completed now (not going to bother getting achievements, it’s not fun enough to drag me back in).

^ I really loved Remember Me. The combat had issues, it’s true, but the storyline, acting, and art direction more than make up for it, imho.

Dirt Rally updated with the Pikes Peak Hill Climb so I tried it out. It’s hard. At least the car that I was driving could go really fast and there’s no co-driver to tell you about what turns are coming up so I kept shooting off the course. Actually one of the my tires blew because of this and I had to do half the course on a rim. First time was about 14 minutes, the record is around 8:30 or something like that. In real life that is. The track in the game looks really really good. It’s pretty long and mostly up a mountain so you get to see down quite a ways from pretty high up.

Finished off Limbo.

It was a really nice game, but the atmosphere and whatever story was there fizzled out about halfway through and it just turned into a puzzle platformer. I did love the style though and the sounds. Overall an enjoyable experience.

Edit for 28/5 since I don’t wanna double post.
Black Mesa. Played from the first Ichy in Apprehension (been procrastinating it) and I currently just finished the dam on Surface Tension. I DIDN’T KNOW THEY ADDED ANOTHER ICHY TO THE DAM. Killed the first with my remaining crossbow ammo, went “ok great”.
Climbed the ladder, turned the dam pump… thingo on and jump back in the water. 2 seconds later I’m being attacked. Dear god that gave me a heart attack.

Also cause they’re slightly beefier now it takes like 4 shots from the crossbow and the glock isn’t as crazy strong as it used to be (for good reason) so that felt ineffective. I went back to test secondary fire but it does take a little while, which makes me freak out cause water in games makes me panicky. Thank god they have such slow turn rates.

Bought Witcher 3 a few days back and have been playing it. So far it’s quite fun, a solid 8/10 for gameplay. Give it a 8/10 for voice acting and graphics as well, but they really needed to make the text easier to read Dx it’s well worth it’s price tho, and is quite fun.

I still haven’t played through Witcher 2, though I got it 80% off quite a while ago. I did the tutorial thing and was like “wow this is really overwhelming and confusing” and haven’t touched it since.

Finished Papo and Yo today. It’s a nice little puzzle game with a good little story.

Started a new game in Aurora and decided to just play the game as best I can rather than blindly following the tutorials. So far I’m sending a geological survey ship to look for minerals on Mars. This game is actually a lot more intuitive than Dwarf Fortress I have to say. But hey, I’m still really (really) early in the game, though I never got that far in DF even while following the tutorials. At least Aurora has a somewhat decent UI, even if it’s essentially spreadsheets upon spreadsheets.

I’ve been playing CS:GO again since the new update. I’ll probably buy the Nintendo Humble Bundle in a few days, too.

So the new champion Ekko is out in League but he’s always banned in draft and team builder queues are way the fuck too long. Instalocking him in blind pick can backfire really damn hard, too.
Dammit.

I don’t play LoL, but I’m going to assume you got rekt.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
