Also, I picked up L4D for $7.50 in the insane Steam sale that’s going on right now, so I have that to look forward to when I get home.

Dunno, could just be down to pure chance. The universe is a mysterious place.

The natural environments (being forced to find food and cure yourself made you feel like you’re really in the jungle), improved gameplay and camera (in the Subsistence version at least, but I was fine with the original “Snake Eater” camera when I first played it), great story (though I admit MGS1’s story was better), BEAUTIFUL graphics (but MGS4 fucking rapes MGS3 in this department, obviously), and Big Boss is awesome (he has an eye-patch! That’s totally different from Solid Snake! TOTALLY!)

Plus, it gets points in my book just for being the first Metal Gear game I’ve played.

[b]So, apart from Big Boss being cool (which really has nothing to do with improving the game since he’s basically solid snake in both looks and character, as you implied), and improved and camera (which can be explained by simply because it’s later than 1&2) you’ve made points which basically back up what I said.

It’s in a jungle, which is lame, you have to cure yourself, which is a tiresome and a pointless addition, you have to find food to keep going because your stamina drops CONSTANTLY, which is tiresome, boring AND pointless. And also, you have no (decent) minimap (the camo system annoyed me too, but I guess it does fit with the MGS theme). None of these things are ‘MGS’. I don’t know if any of them are in 4, and I don’t care: I won’t be able to play it anytime soon. This is Tactical Espionage Action we’re talking about not Tactical Culinary Faggotry In A Jungle.

So yeah, you like it because it’s the first one you played.[/b]

It’s a game. The only thing you can state is opinion, dickweed. Sorry I didn’t signpost that in my post, but I find it’s nautiatingly dull to read anything that has phrases like “In my opinion…”, “I believe that…” in every other sentence.

Either way, I’m pretty sure most people here can distinguish fact from opinion.

Played some GRiD. I’m not liking it’s structure that much. Also, the cars in GRiD seem to not control as well as those in DiRT. Perhaps I need to tweak the settings some more.

HL2 Episode 1, haven’t played in ages. Turns out I’ve become surprisingly bad at fighting Antlion Guards, got killed 3 times.

I also used the SMG heaps more than usual, covering every surface with bullet holes.
