What Game Did You Play Today?

I particularly hate OMOD conversions: Comressing an archive to decompress it right after. And each process takes you like half an hour.

You only have to use it three or four times, so who cares? Scanning for minerals was just tedious and boring.

I’ve been playing a lot of Splinter Cell: Conviction lately, mostly the deniable ops.

IMO, conviction is the best SC yet.

<3 Conviction

I picked up Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood with that Ubisoft weekend deal. Man, do I love this game. I love western films/games in general, and I’m really having a blast with this one.

It’s not the best yet, but I agree, Conviction was damn fun. To this day I’ll occasionally break it out to engage in some terrorist neck-breaking and head-shotting. I think Chaos Theory was by far the best though. The story was interesting with some twists and turns, unlike Conviction which was a bit predictable to anyone who’s watched a season of 24.

The level design in both games was quite good, but there were more options for how to approach a level in Chaos Theory. I still maintain that the Panamanian Bank mission in that game is one of the best designed levels for any game, ever. There were easily two or three different ways to do anything in that level, and some objectives could be approached non-linearly. It was just a brilliant setup.

Dragon Age 2 - so far it’s enjoyable enough (about 10 hours in, including side quests), but I’ll report back later once I’ve played a bit more to make my mind up.

I also played quite a bit of DA2 yesterday. I wish I could turn up the difficulty without breaking the broken mechanics, though.

Also, Pokemon Black. I keep falling asleep while trying to play it. It would probably be a good idea to not play it only when I’m tired :stuck_out_tongue:

Final Fantasy XIII. Chapter 11 of 13, trying to finish off the game soon.

Minecraft! I found I can run it on shitty settings which makes me immensely pleased.

How does Minecraft have rubbish settings? That level of detail can’t be hard? (never played it, so I wouldn’t know!)

Textures, lighting, render distance etc.

pokemon white because its a trillion times better than black

Yeah, my friends got Pokemon White/Black, and beat them on the first day.

Btw, the first and second generation > all other Pokemon, Blue and Silver FTW

I’ll have to replace the battery backup in my Gold and Silver cartridges one of these days…

I wanted to get White, but my friend pre-ordered before I did :frowning:

Charizard is best no matter you saying!

In the past few days:
Dragon Age 2 (more fun than the first, still need to get farther to see if it’s still broken)
Pokemon Black (training for gyms man)
Minecraft (I was digging through the island that I decided to put my base under, and came out in a cave system that took me about 3 hours to explore and steal all of the iron from)
And some shit on my cellphone.
Also Torchlight. Why the hell didn’t they put MP in this? It would have been 10x better, and it’s already awesome.

Minecraft is crazy heavy on your computer because of how much it renders at once.

Charizard is from the first generation of Pokemon, you fool.

I’m pretty sure that post was in agreement, you fool.

I fell in some lava in minecraft.

Goodbye diamond pickaxe and shovel, and that tonne of iron, you will be missed ;_;

I think there’s a mod that places a chest in your spawn point with all the items you had in your inventory when you died.
