What did you enjoy killing most in Half-Life 2?

Civil Protection was great to duke it out with 9mms, cutting zombies clean in half is good also, but the Overwatch soldiers in bitter City 17 street fights take the cake as the most fun to fight. Even moreso when you get your hands on a mounted gun.

The thing is, our mind doesn’t see them like that at first. Just the same way that looking at a very well drawn sexy woman on paper will end up making us slightly aroused, we will look at human or humanoid characters in videogames and think of them first as people that we can kill. Only later our rational side will remind us that it’s all fantasy.

Our brain first responds to suggestion and only later to logic.

Yeah but generally most people don’t run around boxily, speak only a few set lines in a muffled voice and try to shoot at me with poor accuracy.

I liked killing that one strider from the tunnel after the nexus battle. I always bring as many medkits and RPGs with me as I can.

Exactly! Video games are the legal way to satisfy our urge to kill! But in a way, it’s a good thing, because if you feel like killing someone, you can just play a game and not really kill someone.

I think shooting just about any humanoid in the head with the magnum was just sweet. Even if I have to take my time to aim and lose some health, it’s definitely worth it.

I kill them for 3 things:

  1. I kill them for humankind
  2. I kill them because they shoot me.
  3. I kill them to protect birds, ponies, dogs and other animals they have destroyed in earth (gravity cat not amused was killed by them D :slight_smile: .

mmmmmm… probably normal zombies by setting them on fire. It’s pretty funny to hear them scream, “YABBA, MY ICING!” the fall down and die.

Combine Soldiers: Bastard’s but nice Combine suit though.
Headcrabs: Little, cute, bastard, killable.
Manhacks:Little flying machinery OF DEATH
Classic Zombie: Someone poured spaghetti sauce and a thing on his/her head
Fast Zombie: Three words, FUCK. YOU. FAST ZOMBIE.

I might be the only one that enjoyed killing/destroying the flying cameras (scanners?) with the crowbar from the beginning of HL2. And with the mounted gun. Shoot them with it and they kamikaze into you! :smiley:
