What are you listening to?

KoRn - Y’all Want A Single?

Lacuna Coil - Heaven’s a Lie

Velvet Underground - European Son

I like songs like this where vocals are there but they’re sparse. Also noisey stuff like this, though the interference could have been better done. This was 1967 though so I guess it was harder to use interference well.

MØ - XXX 88

I really want No Mythology to Follow, but I haven’t found it anywhere yet. I’ll probably just buy it off Amazon at this rate.

XTC - Pink Thing

One of my favorite songs by them so far.

Placebo - The Bitter End

The guitar part is so… I want to buy a guitar just for song like this

I would learn guitar for the end of Is There Anybody Out There.

Early B - Money Man

Time for another 14-hour workday. Listening to some Right Away, Great Captain.

It’s an extremely easy guitar part. I reckon you could learn how to play a rudamentary version of it in a week or two.

The problem is that I can’t justify obtaining a guitar, because a roommate left me a ukelele. And everything sounds wrong when the pitch is increased a few octaves, so I can’t grasp learning it.

Listening to Fire! Orchestra’s album that came out this year. Not too much of a jazz guy, let alone free jazz (or “experimental big band”, which is what I see it labeled as most times) but this is pretty cool.

Wow, I’m quite floored by the tribute to their fellow countryman Smetana in form of a fantastic EP from these czech BM MoFo’s

Cult of Fire - Váh

The Ex - Bouquet of Barbed Wire

I was really hoping that would be identifiable, but it didn’t sound anything like the gorgeous Ma Vlast.

Listening to Murder By Death’s first album. It’s really different than the two albums I’ve heard. Not sure if I like it better but it’s definitely still good even though it’s different.

jep you’re right, still no match for the original, however view it more as some kind of tribute… You’re not expecting a Black Metal band to play it note by note, let alone capture the magic of classical/romantic music, are you ?

still, for what it is, it quite impressed me

Also the song I linked, isn’t about the Vltava, it’s another river, namely the Váh

Now we’re talking.

Edit: Now listening to Her Space Holiday - Manic Expressive (Enter)

Within Temptation - Paradise

XTC - I’d Like That
