I’ve recently gotten bored with every video game I own and am looking for something to keep me mindlessly entertained for the rest of summer what are some decent games.
I was thinking of getting Spore finally or maybe Sims 3 but Sims 3 is a bit on the pricey side. what are some other decent games out there worth getting.
I’d say basically look at some of the best rated games of all kind, there are hundreds of lists around, and choose those that you don’t have and which also appeal to you. The good thing about games and other media such as books and films, is that you can safely avoid all the terrible ones just by looking at reviews. They’re all the same price after a certain period of time so you might as well go for the very best. At least it’s not like food where cheap means terrible.

games i would suggest:
Empire: total war (huge game, good game, and a must own tbh)
Prototype (never thought cutting people in half and then ABSORBING then could be soo much fun, though the boss battles let it down)
elder scrolls 4: oblivion (old school but just a win game)
any Call of duty game
Mirrors edge (love it, cause i love parcore for some reason
Far cry 2 (some peeps hate it but if u forget everything about the original its actually an awesome game, cept for the respawnign checkpoints)
Assassins creed (desmond anoys me, but hell its a fun game, if u get the directors cut just for archer assassinations lol)
EvE online (its a slow burning game, been playing it for 2 years and still love killing stuff)
hopefully you wont have all of the games in that list.

Yep. Play soccer, do skate, hang out around a fire with a guitar and some friends, dig the biggest hole you can, try not to think about penguins (that one’s pretty hard), build a shed, scare the shit out of random people, the possibilities are endless!
I’d suggest getting some of the Legacy of Kain games. The first two, Blood Omen and Soul Reaver might be pretty hard to come by. (But that’s what torrents are for.) Anyways, the later games Soul Reaver 2 and Defiance their storyline is hard to understand if you haven’t played that first ones. But when you finally do get the whole story and finish all the games you’ll feel like you’re made of gold.
They have great voice acting, great story, and great gameplay. I really suggest getting them.
Them and the Half-Life games are the best games I’ve ever had the pleasure to experience.
yes I realize its summer and yes I am doing other things but you can’t stay out forever I’ve been mainly hanging with friends and only recently decided to take it easy and just stay inside mainly because I’m trying to get together the equipment to build a diddley bow

The only reason i am trying to figure out some games to get is mainly because i have not really been playing much games lately it was only about last week i started playing gmaes for more than just 30 minutes at a time although none of this matters as i just bought Spore.

ME … Parkour is fucking amazing. And hard as shit. I recommend actually trying it (READ UP ON IT FIRST… it is actually dangerous when you dont know what you are doing).
FC:2 … This game was awesome. Agreed on the CP respawn. I was a fan of the first one, and I like the fact that a lot of the same physics are still there, though its an entirely different game. Still good though.
AC … you have got to be kidding me. Yes, looks good. Yes, during the first few hacks at the city, and your first couple of assassinations, its cool. But then… redunant as FUCK. And honestly… big badass assassin… cant swim. fail.
EVE … Just started playing it myself. Have to be honest, not used to it. Reminds me of Freelancer. Just… better.
If you have a PS2, I recently discovered that hiding in the grass with camo on and waiting patiently for a guy to get close to you so you can jump out and slit his throat is amazingly fun!
In other words, get Metal Gear Solid 3! It’s one of the best games I’ve ever played!
Shadow of the Colossus is also good, but very frustrating.

Anyway back on topic, play any RPG game. God knows that the developers of those games put in a shit load of levels. By the time u win the game ur summers’ over.
Or u can get a job and learn some new skills that would definiely benefit u in the job world.
