Water,Where Art Thou?

i do not think there are, because i double checked the impossibility of the players to get out of the map, however,i did extend the water a bit further than the walls that keep the player outside of the void, would that count as a leak??

Also, don’t put multiple heights of water in the same visleaf, or one of them will render incorrectly.
EDIT: That may or may not cause a leak, but you want the edges to be flush with the inside edges of the walls.
Also, water MUST be square- you can’t make the surface any other shape.

You should try using “ur” instead, to avoid confusion, and also, to make yourself out to be a total douche nozzle.

You can use it to replace “your” in this phrase:

You can use it to replace “you’re” too, for example:

As mentioned above, it will make you seem like a tool, but at least no trolls will pounce on you for your grammar.

Oh, and UR welcome.

Goddammit guise, it’s spelled APOSTROPHE

so to fill the “river” in the middle of my map i will have to make several water squares?

No, a rectangle is a square. He means it can’t be cylinder shaped, or anything else of that sort. Also what leaks are is when anything withing the map is exposed to the void. So it’s always best to compile your map and do the load pointfile, to be safe!

EDIT: And yes, if the water is touching the void it will cause a leak.

No its not. Nodraw brush, apply water to one side, check for leaks. I only read OP and some subsequent posts, but I can almost guarantee there is a leak or VVIS isn’t running properly.
