Watch Dogs

Did anyone see the demo for this game? I haven’t seen it entirely but from the few snippets I did see it looks amazing. You’re an assassin who has access to all electronics and information and can use them how you like. In the demo, your target is going through a green light, the assassin changes the lights and the target gets tboned and it causes a pileup where you go in firing trying to take him out. It also seems to have a co-op function.

It looks amazing.

That is all.

It’s definitely a next gen game.

I really hope this isn’t a Wii U exclusive but if it is I will buy the console for this one game.

This is a step in the right direction for gaming as a whole.

This says it was being played on a PS3. I find that hard to believe.

I just checked it again and it was definitely a xbox controller. Might’ve been played on a PC or dev kit.

Looks like it was running on PC. If it’s PC exclusive it’s going to be awesome. Do you think it was running UE4?

Its not an exclusive. As per the ubisoft presentation today. It looks damn good! The blackout premise is genius.

I don’t see how this looks more “next-gen” than GTAIV.

So I just went and saw a/the video for it. It will be interesting to see how it ties into the rest of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Are you serious?

If (and I’d say it’s a big if) all of that stuff was dynamic then I think it fits the bill of next gen. I’d be really sad if this was a really scripted game, but besides my reservations on how possible this stuff is, it looked all dynamic. Plus it looked much better than anything I’ve seen this generation.

I keep reading on some sites that it’s “supposedly” not of this generation and was in fact played on a PC, but it’s probably just rumors and rabble. Regardless, this doesn’t just look fun and gorgeous, it looks mature and story driven – there is seriously nothing to hate here.

It looks immensely confusing and/or scripted. I’m hoping for the former, I can handle a game being smarter than me, as opposed to the other way around. :stuck_out_tongue:

Obviously there was some scripted stuff, I mean, in-game missions probably set you up for some decisions and the world probably reacts to your choices, but as a demo, there has to be some scripts; I don’t think any publisher would risk letting it go free bird on its big showing…

I’m referring to the entire traffic lights scenario. Is that the only way to do the mission? Is that how it’ll play out every time? What if you just don’t hack the lights in time?

That’s what I meant by confusing. Ambiguity of choice.

I don’t think it looked scripted per se’.
I mean, having the guy get shot on the ground wasn’t a cinematic, it was a real-time animation – the graphics surely handle that. So essentially, the epicness of that whole scene was based on a random choice to screw with the street lights. I’m sure you could make any choice to lead to the event of dragging him out of the car; maybe when you shoot him on the ground it won’t be raining, or you’ll be naked with your dick in your hand?

That’s what I’m wondering too. What if you stayed in the club? What if you took off and had the guy follow you? I hope this game lives up to the expectations it set.

What if you were naked and had your dick in your hand? :fffuuu:
