Thanks to all of you for voting, “zynga” who made millions into mindless drones who worship their …hmpf… “games” is finnaly down ! OH YEAH ! When 1 of those drones which happend to be my friend comed to my house he immediatly entered facebook and wanted to do something in his “farm” the odd thing was that the net was soo laggy , and when i oppened Task Manager i saw that their FarmVille uses more physical memory (RAM) than HL2:EP2 . So they even can’t optimize their “games” and they want to beat VALVE ???
VALVE - It’s that good !
so what do we get? what does valve get?
We get confirmation that a game developer is still more popular than people who shit out spam.
Last time VALVe rallied the horde, the “reward” they gave us for voting for Gordon Freeman was a laughable 66% sale for Half-Life games – as if we didn’t already have them.
No Episode 3 info? Not even confirmation that they are working on it, and one concept art? Fine for me, but I’m not falling for the same trick again. If they want us to vote for them, they better show that they think about their customers.
My opinion.
Satisfaction that we prevented Farmville makers from bearing the title of “most beloved developer”, and also if Valve gets involved in encouraging people to vote they are likely to drop a sale for us on their products if tehy win. When Gordon Freeman won some kind of “favorite video game protagonist” award by 66.7% of the vote valve gave a 66.7% of sale on all Half-Life games for a weekend. They’ll probably do it again, and base the sale number’s off of how much they win by.
For people like myself who have managed to acquire just about all of valve’s source games from one sale or another, there probably won’t be much of a benefit.
Edit: it would be nice, however unlikely it is, if Valve gave us our DLC and dropped some Portal2/Episode 3 info.
>Implying they don’t think about their costumers more than any other developer.
Implying they owe it to you to hold your hand and act like the dad you never had.
Voting is closed, looks like Valve has won : >
I’m a little surprised that Blizzard lost to BioWare, I guess it would have ended different if StarCraft 2 was out already…
EDIT: nevermind, I guess I was a little slow… :\
Hey, that sale was nice. 66.7% is a lot off of a game. The I almost bought a gift copy or two until I realized that everyone I knew who would play the game already had it or didn’t have a computer that could run it. It may not have that huge of a benefit for someone like me who has them, but it might be to others that don’t have them yet.
Sweet, Valve won =D
Heh, anyone else notice that valve got almost 15,000 votes more than the other round five winner Bioware? I wonder how the defeat Zynga-at-any-cost coalition will crumble once the real developers face each other? It might be a much tougher round because I am sure that there were less people voting for Valve than there were voting against Zynga. In any case, the steam army will still probably march over bioware simply because its easy to rally steam supporters by a simple steam update.
As of less than five minutes ago…
VALVE HAS WON AGAINST ZYNGA!
It’s about damn time…
Now it’s Valve vs Bioware, and I’d honestly be happy for either of them, though happier if it were Valve, because I suspect some sort of Steam event if they win… Like a sale or something.
Am I missing something, or is he putting on a pair of sunglasses with another already on?.. Anyway, LOL.
Yay, I was the 7th vote!. Valve is now in the lead thanks to me, 7 to 6.
That appears to be the case. :3
And the new round isn’t actually meant to have started yet; voting officially starts tomorrow. At which point, Valve will get my vote, again.
It was 15 to 10 Valve’s favor last time I refreshed before it closed.

It’s there simply to illustrate that the glasses are being taken off and then put back on.
LRN2COMICS
I know about the CSI:Miami Caruso “witty” comment and sun glasses before the title intro thing, but I mean why is he putting another pair of glasses on over the ones he already has? Shouldn’t the comic start with the glasses taken off?
edit:I see nothing to suggest the glasses are being taken off and put back on. It only looks like he’s reaching for another pair.

I don’t know what it’s called but comic artists often use this technique.
NOW BACK ON TOPIC!!!
