Well it started a rant and then I decided to tone it down a bit because I am in a good mood today. I forgot to delete the whole rant part.
I don’t even care. I like Link, he’s in great games.
But, Gordon just surpasses everything. I don’t even care if he’s supposed to be ‘YOU’ I always pictured him as a Mute/Shy scientist who had feet that smelled like shit from kicking ass all day.
On gamespot’s all greatest hero contest Gordon is now up against Link from the Zelda franchise. If you support Link more that’s ok, but I encourage you to vote for the one free man. Go here:

the other thread was more geared towards the Snake vs Freeman poll. So this is somewhat of an update.
It doesn’t matter. This is the third thread about this. Keep it all in one thread.
If Link wins, he’ll be liquid paste when battling Mario, who will consume half of the Link fanbase…
The ONLY way to make this interesting is to VOTE FOR FREEMAN!
Errr… Link or Freeman… Hate to say it but that’s a difficult one. Such Nostalgia there.
Guess I’ll vote freeman. He’s losing anyway, and I’m a member of more Half-Life forums than Zelda forums… so less pain later.
I just realized, Freeman is at a little bit of a disadvantage. All of the Nintendo fanboys showing up to pick either Mario or Samus… well, when they go to vote at the opposite battle, there’s a 90% chance they only know Link.
(This is also why Freeman-vs-Snake was so close. If it weren’t for those Nintendo Smash Brothers games, Snake would be left neck-deep in Residue Processing.)
So for the love of god, help offset this disadvantage. No matter how many hours you’ve wasted in Zelda games, Freeman deserves to fight Mario man-to-man.
It is a testament to his greatness that he can even stay in the race against the nostalgic masses of Link.

Bah, Links cool, but Freeman is WAAAY better. It’ll be a close one when it goes Freeman vs. Mario, though.
