VBSP Crashes

Hey, I was furthering development of my DoD:S map and now VBSP crashes and therefore I can’t compile.

This is the output just before it crashes:

Evidently some cubemap(s) are messed up and I have several NODRAW textures on displacements… which I don’t know how to find because they’re eluding me.

But other than those two reasons I’m clueless as to why it’d crash…

If anyone can help me I’d be greatly appreciative!

Thanks!

Wow, thanks! I didn’t even realize what that ‘vis groups’ pane was for until now :retard:

Ok well thanks to that suggestion I successfully got rid of all the nodraw displacements but sadly it still won’t compile  it’s crashing at the same place. I might load up one of my backups and see if I can find where it changed that it wouldn’t compile anymore.

Visgroups are are a really useful feature. You can make custom ones too (Select any entitys or brushes and you can set their visgroup in their properties.

Have you put the compile log through the interlopers compile log checker?

Well I found the problem. I had a playerclip displacement and it was pretty elaborate. So I redid that and made it much more efficient and VBSP runs just fine now. Thanks guys!
