Actually, the way it’s worded, it does seem like it’s saying that.

It suggests that some standard marines might have cigars. Even if that isn’t the case and they are for SL’s only, that is how it’s worded.

Anyways, I’m interested in speculation of how long it will take for the redone video to surface. Due to Raminator’s phrasing it seems like the changes are coming along quickly. I’d say that we could expect the new video in 1-3 months. It’ll probably be a big publicity stunt to show the development team takes criticism into account. God knows, the haters could use something like that. Maybe it could be a near launch video too like they originally planned. Fingers crossed.

Well, they’re obviously keeping the site intact for the wiki and everything. Plus, the forums are going to be full of questions and stuff; probably technical issues about the mod and what-not. And if I’m correct, we will still be waiting a small while for deathmatch after the initial release. I for one, will be bugging the devs to make a video or commentary about development over the years and the specifics.
Well, a lot can happen in 3 months, so I guess. But yeah, I’m definitely enjoying the openness from the devs to the community about development.
I’d say maybe about about a month? Give or take. It seems like a lot of the decisions (as you said) are coming along/being implemented rather quickly and from the looks of things, some of the stuff they were talking about doing was already being worked on. So it shouldn’t take too long. Adding masks and removing the FCS from the soldiers shouldn’t take very long. And I think the new track for the firefight around the launch pad was already done or was close to being done since Joel stated even before the announcement that he was already replacing it. The only thing I expect to take some time (and it will) is re-recording all of the lines and implementing them. But if they press, it shouldn’t take that long. But if it took longer than a month, I wouldn’t be surprised.
