ValveTime BlackMesa Gameplay footage

Yes, Source.

But I did include a few more things than the Ram summary, and that one was designed to answer everyone’s questions, not necessarily to fill everyone in on the details. Well, I tried.

Don’t fuckin ask him to find that, that shit is buried deep in these forums.

Would it not be somewhere in the wiki?

deep in the wiki.

I did some spelunking, and with some hard work I found it.

Did you seriously sign up just to say that? Troll? :fffuuu:

Ah, thank you. I have seen that page before, but I suppose what confused me was that he was using the term ‘animation’ instead of ‘action’ when they are two different things, so I didn’t quite realize he meant the AI.

Nice summary, but I’m pretty sure the sniper is only there after you return from launching the rocket, being there in order to drive you back underground, so it wouldn’t appear in the video leak anyway.

Ram Specifically said that sniper nest was removed.

its gone

why would anyone bother to read through this entire thread

whyyy

Well, I’ve been reading it since it was a page long. It’s weird, but I think I’ve seen every post on this thread

^same for me and a couple others who were postin in this shit from the start.

To think this thread isn’t even a week old.

Ah, I was hoping no one would notice that. But if it alleviates fears, that map required some pretty specific Hammer I/O nodes that allowed soldiers to patrol uniformly and mostly not notice Gordon, up until the action starts. The glitch that caused him to not revert to “combat mode” is likely a small one, specific to that set of marines.

Yet another reason why I’m pissed at whichever developer leaked this video; that issue, along with the brightness and other issues, was easily noticable and easily fixed for a “round two”.

Mmm. Spaghetti code.

I like glitches  … but no matter what you do, sponge for brain guys will keep whining about every glitch and error in the game they find, and if they won’t find any… they still won’t stop.

I remember listening to an interview of someone about music or something like that, and he was saying how people have to fix everything they hear to be perfect now, but a lot of those imperfections are what make a song so good.

I think it may apply here in some sense, obviously you can’t have glaring issues, but the changes some people see as issues in BM actually set it apart from HL, in a good way, sort of.

Also, I feel like release must not be too far off, if you guys are willing to give a concrete decision on not showing any new media until release

I read everything.

Lots of free time and a dedication to keeping up on balckmeas sauce news.

Hehe, you will never believe what fans could extract from 3 minute clip

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
