Sorry, have to wipe the semen off the keybroad.
Thank you for clarifying things.
Please someone post this on ValveTime and G4…
Thank you for clearing things out, Raminator.
I have been lurking for about 6 years. I am beyond stoked right now.
Thank you very much. Good feeling to know whats going on.
This quote makes me fell good that I decided to NOT watch the video and wait for the mod
However, the last line makes me feel guilty again
An excellent reply, Raminator!
Also, what the hell is head bobbing and why are some people complaining about it? I didn’t notice anything weird in gordon’s movement.
Viewbob, every time your character takes a step the screen will slightly rock up and down to emulate the feeling of walking in real life, but now that I’ve watched the video a million times it seems to be more strafe tilting, you can see it just before he walks up the steps to open the door.
Thank you Raminator. If you have the video in 1080p, why don’t you upload it? It will certainly receive a better reception, and if you upload it yourselves, in this webpage, it will certainly substitute the ValveTime leaked video when this starts to go all over the web.
I’m over from RPS, I don’t really post here but just wanted to say well done., I thought the footage was great!
Yeah the voice-acting was a bit cheesy, but this is a fan-made mod. On that scale you guys have broken all expectations in my book. I enjoyed the music as well; really well timed and tense.
I guess the biggest compliment I can say is it looked like Half-Life and it was good to see it again!
PS. I realise the ‘iron sights’ on the Magnum gives it a secondary fire, which I guess was the point (I don’t recall it having a secondary fire in the original, so it seems like a nice change to me: Something where there was previously nothing - not something to get bent out of shape about!)
PPS. Does that mean the crowbar gets a secondary fire? A ‘slow big slam’ like the wrench from Opposing Force would seem appropriate!
Rock paper shotgun have already posted a topic about this gameplay footage.
edit: ah ninja’d
No complaints, except that I will miss those:

I wouldn’t mention this otherwise, but
in walkie-talkie accent was game defining for me.
Not sure about the decision to keep the radio distortion out. Sure, didn’t make much sense, but it was cool.
I can but be happy to have seen this.
I am only sorry that there’s been miscommunication within the team since this obviously wasn’t supposed to happen today and in this manner.
In the video there was not an instance where a radio made any sense, because the grunts were al in the vicinity. I bet you there are radio sounds in other portions of the game.
Idd thx Ram for the clarification.
Btw I think it looks and plays awesome, great stuff!
To hell with the sense.
You’re right. What was I thinking…
OMG this is awesome! I almost don’t recognize the map (which is a good thing).
The layout is pretty much the same. The funny thing is, the gameplay is much more interesting. If you see that part of the game in the original Half-Life, especially the first part of the video, it’s considerably less interesting. There is no other tram with soldiers, for example.
Take a look. Quite a change, but everything is still recognizable. I guess the took out the TNT puzzle por pacing reasons. The whole scene is much more frantic and action-oriented than the original Half-Life, after all.
