Valve's E3 Suprise?

No, the whole point is that the surprise is shown during the Portal 2 screening. I’ll say again - it wouldn’t make any sense whatsoever to openly publicise this surprise at a Portal 2 screening… and make the surprise about Portal 2. Kind of negates the surprise, non?

They canceled the screening! It says it right there in the letter!

You people are stupid.

It’s Episode 3. I’m completely sure.

Oh c’mon… it ain’t gonna be a surprise… I mean… we already know the stuff that they might possibly show at E3. non?

Might be just some fake, but it looks pretty well made…

I didn’t read the whole thread (I’m tired), so I dunno if anyone said this yet… In the award acceptance speech from Gabe Newell at the GDC 2010, there was a secret message in his “blue screen” that popped up on his laptop. People decoded it and it said some cryptic things and then “Suspend until EEE”. E3 anyone? I’m too tired to remember what E3 stands for. I know it’s EEE, though.

That’s like saying a surprise birthday party isn’t a surprise if you slightly think that it might happen.

In this case we do not know for sure what will happen because there is a large spectrum.

Oh and have any dev’s posted in this thread? Kind of suspicious…humm jk jk

Are you stupid? Or just trying to be fun?

It’s on the very first page. People have mentioned it a few dozen times. Use some logic - why would they cancel the screening of Portal 2, simultaneously angering countless fans around the world, only to show a ‘surprise’ about Portal 2?

You seem to be mission what’s going on Floyd. Valve originally had Portal 2 as a big event. The letter states that the big event is canceled in place of a surprise. Yes, Portal 2 will still have a booth, but we have yet to figure out what the big event is going to be after the ‘cancellation’.

Floyd, you’re too damn smart for this cesspool of stupid people.

Let’s hang out in the pub and drink a few pints.

Electronic Entertainment Expo

Yeah, I know. I never said otherwise - this is all just speculation on what the surprise will be. Perhaps people are interpreting this differently as it’s a pretty cryptic statement from Valve, but the way I see it is that Portal 2 is no longer the main focus of Valve’s presence at E3, which is instead being the surprise.

I was just pointing out the illogic, if not the paradox, of cancelling Portal 2 to have a surprise about Portal 2, which is what Pyro was getting at. Who knows what the surprise is about.

Your local pub or mine dude?

Does your local pub have hot chicks in it?

If by hot chicks you mean old men, then yes. Yes it does.

Nice, your local pub it is then.

as long as VALVe shows any product I’m sure we will all be happy.

I know for a fact that episode 3 was in testing about 4 months ago cuz I saw my friend playing it in my friend list. I grilled him for a solid week on our clan forum till he finally posted that I needed to shut my piehole and that I should know why he isnt saying anything due to Nondisclosure agreements and he was already in trouble for installing it on his regular steam account rather than a ghost account.

So yeah. SOOoooo not shutting my piehole here, but there it is.

I THINK It is episode 3.

Gabe’s just going to show his new troll faec that he made with CS5.

Catz, if you were a troll or an unknown person, people would be flaming you, but you’re not a troll or an unknown person, so I’m lost for words. :’(

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
