As some of you may know, I’m a female. I play (more than any other) Valve games. In recent years Valve has included these strong female characters in their action games. Naturally, I like to play the female character except for in the Half Life series where it’s impossible. So, Alex in HL2 is the strong female personality in that game.

I’m just curious; out of Alex from Half Life 2, Zoey from Left 4 Dead, Rochelle from Left 4 Dead 2, and Chell from Portal, who do guys find most interesting? Not in a romantic way. But which female character do you like and why? This is not a contest………I’m just genuinely curious. :slight_smile:

Chell. She’s Gordon Freeman as a girl. Pretty much lets you experience what it’s like to be a woman

Personally I prefer Zoey.
Alyx is fun, but she’s too… euh… womanised? She keeps on weeping and crying over everything. Ep:1 she “has to take a rest” cause the half dead man tried to eat her.
Chell you unfortunately don’t get to know as a person due to the game play.
Rochelle is just annoying. I had to change her with a Zoey replacement mod cause i couldn’t stand the voice and her way of acting. And no i’m not racist! but i find her annoying.
Why Zoey? A teen-age rebel fun girl who can shoot!
Yeah… .that’s the main reason… i can make her shoot like a real person.

Rochelle is supposed to be insufferable, it’s part of her character I think

I personally didn’t mind her

Zoey, because of the way Bill says her name, and also because I love the bad zombie movie cliche.

Chell! Just as gordon, Valve managed to create an interesting character without saying a word…

She’s strong, persistent, rebellious, and other then that there is just something about her that i really like, can explain it further :stuck_out_tongue:

Chell because she’s like a female version of gordon. Just without glasses and she has longer hair. And some other details. Then Alyx.

Wait, valve game ? Chell totally, she is the female gordon, she doesnt really know wtf is happening.

I hate alyx, she is actually one of the few things I hate most in HL2.

Alyx and Zoey are my two favorite

i like Chell, but at the same time valve doesnt really develop her in any way so you could play through all of both portal games as a completely different person and you wouldn’t have to change anything in game to make it work.

Rochelle… i dont know… for some reason i’m just not a fan (maybe cause she’s gotten the last shot off of too many chargers or jockys that i was about to kill but that doesnt really have anything to do with the personality or character development)

Jade from “Beyond Good and Evil” is probably my favourite. She has a very decisive and strong character, she also got some nice, sporty moves to underline her spontaneous appearance. Also, she has a pretty nose.

Yeah, she apparently has the best taste in music a VG character has ever had too.

Zoey is my favorite. Alyx was at first, but then she went “aaalmooost thhereee” when close to a saferoom. That was the point the scale filled to the max.
