I… It’s… IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL!
HL3 better not be made by teenagers.
MTV cutting, dubstep soundtrack…
Yeah, that video and site were definitely made by teenagers. Joy.
At any rate, it’ll be interesting to see what they come up with for people perusing careers in the industry.
what’s MTV cutting?
Fast cutting timed to music in ways that may not necessarily follow all of the rules of film editing. It’s why so many music videos are so horrible- they blend together because they are uniform in visual style. This is particularly bad in rap and pop.
Well then.
Young people don’t know what MTV used to be…
it used to be music television
Hey, are you suggesting I’m old? :zip:
I know what MTV is!
I’ve never watched it, so the first I heard about it was an explanation of what it started out as.
i remember it being the only source of televised music, i also remember there always being music on
then they got bought out by warner bros or one of those shitty companies and now they’re just a faceless media corporation that tries to reach out to some sort of demographic but fails mostly
MTV was always a promotion. From the very beginning it was an attempt to reach out to underground youth culture or whatever they call it these days.
Ok, this isn’t supposed to be about MTV, so if we could return to topic at some point (like, the next post), that would be nice.
So… I guess Valve is trying to integrate modding into their business model or something?
This Pipeline thing is a way to give teenagers who want to be game developers a taste of what the industry is like, as well as a way to train future game devs from an early age.
kinda makes me think i wasted my life to see fucking teenagers getting hired by valve when thats been my dream for a while now. sad part is im only 23. thanks valve for shattering my dreams
Valve’s business model was always modding.
great now im pushing 20 and im way too handsome to grease around with those cool new teen slaves at valve that probably don’t even know how to install skulls into their cs 1.6 games
I’m 20. Can I walk in clean shaven and pretend I’m only in high school still?
I still get carded at casinos, and I’m 23. Lawl.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
