Using Curse's materials

I just started playing the curse mod and I love the texturing and models. So I’m wondering if there would be anyway to port the textures and models into HL2DM. I tried using a tutorial and put the vtx.'s and vmt.'s into sourcesdk_content\materialssrc and into Half-life 2 Deathmatch\hl2mp\materials but the textures all show up as pink and black in hammer.

Also, don’t worry, I have no intention of stealing the curse dev’s work, I probably won’t even release anything I make with it, I just want to goof off with the textures in hammer.

Someone help, please?

It’s easy.

Create a new set of game configurations in Source SDK that use the curse mod directory.

I’ve tried googling something along those lines and haven’t found anything, also, I don’t really like the games interface so i’d rather be able to use it in HL2DM.

This seems fairly simple but something I don’t know how to do, so could somebody please help me here? I’d be happy with just knowing how to add curse to my game configurations.

HEEEEELLLPPPPPP??? Please?

Go look in in Curse’s equivalent of /hl2mp/models/weapons, that directory is usually where textures are.

Open Source SDK, select the version of Source you want to use in Engine Version (you will want to use Episode One for HL2DM)

Then go to Edit Game Configurations and then click Add, type in Curse for the name and set the directory to steamapps/sourcemods/curse.
