unusual behavior on steam forums

so here is the thing: I played Crusader Kings and disliked it - I posted it on steam in CK II -section:

"sometimes I am amazed how :heart::heart::heart:ty can be history in games. I’ll take my example. my country is Georgia. so I was extremely happy when I saw it in list of available Countries… BUT! here comes the :heart::heart::heart:… what country is on the map? it is defiantly not Georgia. parts of country are horribly misplaced, and dynasty of Georgian kings was Bagrations not Bagratuni’s. you know what I smell here? Armenian :heart::heart::heart:.They do thinks like this very often and not only in games. after they placed Erevan as port city in Knigts of Honor (yes it was developed by Armenians as well, I won’t even mention how crappy was mapping of georgia) I am not amazed of the same crap here. Lack of tutorial also is extremely Frustrating. you start playing and you think: WTF I have to do…
I stopped playing after 10 mins.

Conclusion: this game sucks, there are lot of other games that are not developed by Armenians and I’ll stick to them."

don’t get me wrong I am not racist. I have few armenian friends and they are good guys. but the thing what I was talking up, is casual thing to be done by armenians and not only in games(sadly).

so the thing is that thread got deleted in few hours. after that I posted in other thread about CK and after some discussion it got deleted. so I got the question: why I think that moderator is Armenian?

Who the fuck cares?

Racism is not tolerated pretty much anywhere.

If you think that all Armenians make shitty games, it’s your opinion. Just don’t expect people on steampowered to share the same one.

If the Moderator was Armenian you would probably be banned.

You may say you’re not racist against Armenians, but you sure as hell sound like you are lol

If you replaced the word ‘Armenians’ with ‘Devs’ I’m confident that your thread would have been fine.

but the reason is that devs are so obviously armenian that that would make no difference.

I am obviously talking about armenians in Paradox… , I am also pointing out that things like that shouldn’t be tolerated in games. how you think for example Kaizers to be renamed as Kaizeruni or Kaizerovski and not mistakingly? every german would have disliked that game yes? same thing here. the only thing that annoys me is that all this is done not by mistake!

I see where you are coming from to a point.

I found the whole Shogun Total War 2 expansion ‘Fall of the Samurai’ to be a tad historically inaccurate in order to pander to the American audiences.
America had next to no involvement with the Boshin War and yet on the cover of the game box there is an American soldier. It perhaps bothers me more than it would mainly because I studied and wrote a short paper on the Boshin War.
The main western participants were the British, French and Germans. America did nothing (they had their own civil war to worry about).

Britain trained the Emperors troops, whilst France trained the soldiers of the rebel Shoguns. Germany sold them the guns. It was essentially another puppet battle between the French and British Empires with the winner looking to exert major influence over Japan.
So why does America feature in the game? Who knows. Perhaps to appeal to the Yanks, or perhaps to add a little more variety.

But at the end of the day, most people don’t give a shit about such things. I too would be slightly miffed if a game classed England as a province of France, but what can you do?

Dr. Karamazov: Insult the nationality of the developers and forum admins (or what you think is the nationality) of course!

Yeah, I get your deep seeded point, but if you made it clearer in the post instead of just going “one that’s not by Armenians” you may have been treated a bit softer. I do get the same feeling from all the WWII shooters that make the whole ordeal into black and white/ good vs evil.

well you are kinda right, but I was angry, and I knew that it wouldn’t have changed much anyway but I just wanted to show my point of view.

Yes, the game sucks because your country got messed up. Georgia!!! How could they mess up the almighty GEORGIA?!

HE HAS DISCOVERED THE ARMENIAN CONSPIRACY PLAN!!

fix’d

now other reason is that game is hard to get used to unless you got lot of experience and it has no tutorial. and I have no doubt that there will be lot of other historical mistakes. let me remind you… THIS is historical game. btw Georgia never took part in any of crusades. the only connection to crusade is that 50 crusaders fought with us during Didgori battle(one of the most important battles in history of my counrty).

You sound like you hold a lot of deep inherent hatred for the Armenian people.

There was a time it was true

Also could you forward me your paper on the boshin war, it looks interesting.

Another way you could have gone about it would have been to list all the historical inaccuracies in excruciating detail then condemning the devs for their supposedly ‘historic’ game. However considering the game is considered a ‘alternate history’ game. I don’t think you would get much sympathy.

HOW DARE YOU! ENGLAND WAS NEVER RULED BY THOSE STINKING FROGS!!
GET OUT GET OUT GET OOOUUUUT!

Now…if you were referring to the proto-french (aka Normans) then maybe you have a point.

As for my paper, it’s long ceased to exist. It was actually focused on the change of artistic influences during the Meiji Restoration and the section concentrating on the war was included mainly to give a historical setting.

To OP:
Crusader Kings does not suck, why did you bring up Armenians in the first place?, and if you hate the game then stop playing it, not whining about it on the forums

So not only are there Armenian devs who are working to fuck up Georgia in the game, there are also Armenian forum mods on SPUF who were waiting to delete your thread?
