Unreal Tournament: 2341

Hey guys, figured I’d finally post about the project I’ve been working on here since we just released the second beta the other day

Basically its a weapon/gameplay mod that brings UT99 into UT2004 (with visual improvements of course) and PB2 has a few bugs but is completely stable and feature complete

That looks AWESOME! I’m definately going to have to try this out sometime, I loved the old weapon styles, and I’m really really hoping they go back to the old 90’s style retro-future for the new game aswell.

Duuuuuuuuudddddeeeeeeeee I can’t even count how many times I said “oh my god fuck yes please” during that :smiley: D

I’m holding out until UT4321, it will have the most competitive fast paced fps gameplay of all time. :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright, I just played it and here is the run down:

Enforcers and Plasma Rifle are the best damn things ever, I cant even tell you how much I love using them, just unbelievably fun to play with.

Flak Cannon, Minigun and the Bio Rifle are excellent aswell, they function exactly how they should. :smiley:

The Rocket launcher and the Shock rifle are good, the models are excellent. I’d make the Rocket launcher a little more bulky and shoot faster rockets, they seemed faster in the old game if I remember correctly. I’d make the shock secondary fly a little slower and be a little bigger. Give those shock balls some presence and it’s perfect in my books. :smiley:

The sniper rifle is a work in progress I’m assuming, it functions nicely though. :slight_smile: I never got to try the ripper or the impact hammer, mainly because I was just having too much fun with the Pulse Rifle, Enforcers and Minigun.

9/10, awesome mod, awesome quality and I cant wait to see some sand and polish on this thing. :awesome:

Turn off small weapons, sniper should appear properly when you do

Also RL speed is based on the 99 rockets, could just be the maps since ut2k4 has different scale than 99 so we had to offset things accordingly (same reason the shock ball looks smaller too)

I’d try it on some of the UT99 map remakes if you haven’t already, it works really well and on a lot of them they have spawns for the ripper (ripper replaces AR and one other weapon so a lot of stock maps won’t have it except hyperblast and a few others)

ah okay, I do have small weapons turned off, I can double check, but I did turn it off.

In UT99, does the shock rifle have a hand model?

No we added it, but it shouldn’t be visible.

Is your gun too high up on the screen? Try turning small weapons off from the main menu instead of ingame and see if that works.

Also make sure you don’t have beta1 in the system folder
