I did some full contact sparring for the first time ever at kung fu class last night. Took a mighty good hit to the chin, by way of knee in the clinch. Still aches a bit this morning…
Not to change the subject, but I just gotta get out a bit of frustration right now. And then I promise I will be better.
Rodney (my oldest)… his 22nd birthday was not so much fun for him on Sunday. He and some friends went out for breakfast and then they also did a coor’s tour. (coor’s is a beer… their complex is not too far from here and after the tour, they give you samples) I am thinking they did something else after that because later as they were driving down past the mall, a cop pulled Rodney over after witnessing (at a stop light) Rodney’s friend / passenger waiving around a pipe to their other friends in the car next to them.
Rodney was the driver, therefore Rodney was the one that got all the questioning. He smelled of alcohol so he was taken in to have a breathalyser done. While he was not over the legal limit of intoxication (.08), he WAS ticketed as “driving under the influence” (.077).
Shit is gonna hit the fan at the end of July when he goes to talk to a judge cuz around here, they don’t go easy on even first offenders. I heard one guy who WAS over the limit got 22 days in jail for first offense.
Meanwhile, the “friend” that alerted the officer to shenanigans, yeah he got a ride home from the officer.
I gave birth to a moron.

I don’t know whether your police service being strict on such things is good or bad. Sure it must be a great deterrent, but hm.

Thats ridiculous, how could they write him a ticket if he was legally under the limit? They likely didn’t even drink a whole beer on the tour, which is entirely reasonable to drive after.
Anyway, just be glad they didn’t catch him with the dope in his pocket
