Unlimited Detail

So, ehm… yeah, this Unlimited Detail thing is pretty awesome!

It does show great potential.

Or as Gman would put it: …limmitlessss potentiaaaalll

But even that was a relatively small scene with only about 5 or six visible buildings with not too many characters.

I hear that they’re working with the makers of Prototype to make an IP out of that demo though, they wouldn’t put that much work into something so insignificant. So I’m sure kinks will be worked out.

New interview. Really interesting:

I’m going to go ahead and blatantly state things any dumbass could notice.

  • Who the fuck is this interviewer? Why not choose a more reputable interviewer?

  • They never dismissed voxeloctrees

  • They admitted it was voxels

  • Why show old tech? Who does that?

  • For the most part this video isn’t even about tech its just rambling about prettiness

  • John and Notch’s statements don’t conflict. Because just because something won’t work yet doesn’t mean a lot of people aren’t fiddling with it.

  • The interview does not know when to shut the fuck up

Ultimately this video changed nothing about anyone’s knowledge of the system

God, the interviewer voice is obnoxious.

He’s Australian aint he?

Herpaderpapotamus :retard:

That’s my biggest problem with it I think. All the time the interviewer was questioning him on behalf of others, and all the time the guy said “no, it really works, and it looks pretty” and that was it. Still, you know, I guess they want a chance to prove their ideas really work, before they explain how it works.

It’ll be interesting to see what happens after their public hiatus.

Interviewees, more like.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
