Trying out bad games.

Have you ever wanted to try a game that everybody said it was bad, simply out sheer curiosity?
For example, I’ve always wanted to play Metroid: Other M, solely to get a grip on the gameplay and see if it excuses the story (I watched the story on youtube, jesus pissing christ, it is BAD).

Duke Nukem Forever, tried it and must say that really a more awful thing doesn’t exists… it’s simply inhuman.
Like a bad joke said by a guy on crack

Sonic the Hedgehog (2006) (released on PS3 and Xbox 360). Although there are many people who consider it a quite decent game.

The only actual bad games I’ve ever played (aside from maybe Tintin for PC) are all indirect ports of good games to the DS. Some of those pissed me off real bad.

Superman 64

I tried that Men in Black game for the hell of it.

It sure was the hell of it.

I enjoyed the demo.

The full game, on the other hand…

talk to someone in the overworld
load for 30 seconds
they talk for 5 seconds
load for 30 seconds

That’s not an exaggeration.

I saw a ton of people say DNF wasn’t that bad, and the reviews were full of shit.

I played it, and most of it was painful to sit through. There was like, one level, that was fun.

Once you got to the point where you smeared feces all over a wall the game was pretty much over.

Postal 3 was bullshit too.
I was really hoping for a good sequel to Postal 2 but was disappointed.

Please don’t remind me of DNF…

I wasted 50 bucks on that one. And i got no enjoyment out of it :frowning:

There’s always Ricochet…

I am so glad I didn’t buy Sonic 2006. Like Bahamut said, it’s fucking awful.

More recently, I got my dander up at Max Payne 3. It’s not the worst thing ever, but it sure isn’t a good sequel to Max Payne 2.

And to think I was ready to give DNF the benefit of the doubt.

It could be that I tend to prefer story to gameplay, but I couldn’t make it far into Just Cause 2. The writing and voice acting were terrible, and it made me sad.

Attaching cop cars to the street as they chased you at high speed was kinda fun, though.

What?.. It’s best in the series IMO, the only flaw is a lack of throwable explosives.

The only people who call it anything like “horrible” are the pretentious fucktards who were only in the series for it’s comically hamfisted noire execution. Don’t get me wrong, I loved that too, but it’s not what makes Max payne what it is. What makes Max Payne what it is, is how it handles. I’d say it’s one of the tightest third person shooters this generation, rivaling Gears of war in terms of player control. This is a fucking shooter. This is the most important factor above AI (which is above level design), and this is what it got right. I’d say it nailed all 3 factors. As linear as it was, it was a fucking great line.

The Sims 2 for the GBA.

Ranting about what other people think about stuff and how they are idiots or assholes for not agreeing with your personal views is kind of your thing, isn’t it?

Ever since SomeoneRandom left, I’ve got no choice.

Don’t make me post my 3500 word review, Xal. You’ll have a word seizure =P

As for the story, well, I’ll put it this way: There are far more pressing reasons I have for hating the game.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
