this mod is dead…but it looks so incredible I can’t believe it’s goldsource. Source code for the incredible effects is available too…why has no one used it :frowning:

edit:the teams doing a different mod though now(also in gldsrc) and **** ****** **** does it ever look good 0_0

I’ve never really got why poeple bother moding for HL1. Any respectable computer these days can handle HL2, so why don’t they just mod for it? That said, that is really impressive for goldsrc.

Whats wrong with modding in goldsrc I’ve seen many a nice looking mod using that engine. Plus I recently played through blue shift and opposing force for the first tiem ever and it was quintessentially delicious…

goldsource is gold, it’s not like regular source

It’s easier to develop new things for it.

Although there are many great HL2 mods out there. Half-Life had the best of the best, for example, They Hunger. I prefer HL mods over HL2.

Ugh, hate that strafing lean. Other than that, looks neat. I had seen those effects before in another HL1 mod called Paranoia.

There’s a mod called Hypernova for Goldsource and it’s going to have physics and things you wouldn’t expect

Looks good really. But did he lean? To dodge a rocket? Hmmm… doesn’t seem very Gordon to me… but the mod looks terrific! I would buy it.

The question is will they make it to the end. So much mods die in infancy like babies in the middle age.
