No, it doesn’t sound important to most people here. But does anybody here have a grandmother who refers to ALL video games as “Mario” or “Nintendo” (regardless of what game or console you’re playing)? Anyone whose ever worked in iT knows how annoying it is dealing with customers and clients who call their computer (as a whole) as a “CPU” or “hard drive” or worse yet, refer to their monitor as the “computer”.
it’s not immersion-breaking for anyone who isn’t in-the-know, but incredibly annoying when heard or read by people who know better. Even MORE so when the characters (albeit fictional) ARE SUPPOSED TO KNOW THE DiFFERENCE.
I don’t see why they would talk about that kind of stuff anyway. Can you imagine an NPC saying “Hey look I found a clip/magazine!” or “I will now reload my weapon as I am running low on ammunition. Would you have a spare clip/magazine with you, dear soldier friend?”. They only say stuff like “take cover!”, “yes sir!” and “I’m hit!”.
I don’t want to see bad animations in BM. IDK why but I don’t much care for models and textures in games but if animations are awkward and unnatural it makes me cringe. Brakes immersion bigtime.

Well, it happens a ton in FPS games and in movies, so yes, they very well might talk about it. Plenty of times in games an NPC or the player will need to ask his buddies for a spare magazine, because they can only carry so many. That’s just an example.
Agreed, but I’ll bet BM’s animations are pretty darn good, after being about a bajillion years in development.

Real soldiers use the words interchangeably.
Same for a lot of firearms experts, and police, and every other normal person, because who the hell cares if it’s not exactly correct we still get what you mean.
Using the words “magazine” and “clip” are -yes, in fact- interchangeably used by some soldiers, police, gun enthusiasts. Some nerds, computer geeks and iT professionals still refer to computer parts with generalized terms too. Yeah, it happens.
But the big one i mentioned in my original post was the same i brought up in another thread; characters using the word “health” when referring to medical supplies. You keep “medicine” in a first-aid kit and you keep “food” in a refrigerator. “Health” is not a tangible noun one would use in either context, however there are a pair of characters in Episode2 who did exactly that.
The thing I don’t WANT to see? That twitch lovely vent in Surface Tension, where those twitch LOVELY infinite snark spawns are located with no EFFIN way around them!
Because it basically means the same thing and this is just you being a pedantic nerd.
Anyway, back on topic:
I don’t want to see invincible Gargantuas. If you weren’t supposed to be able to kill the Gargantua with superior firepower then it wouldn’t be so easy to kill.
