That is actually worth being in here. 'The fuck?
Is that suprising for anyone? The world have steadily been going in that direction since, well at least since I was born and raised.
I remember that my younger sister found this old teen magazine from the early 90’s when she was around 13. It had a section where people could send in questions about puberty, love problems and similiar matters.
There were one question where two girls said that they were two regular 12, or 14, year old girls who spend their time playing with barbie dolls and My Little Pony just as everyone else in their age. They said that recently, when they been playing with their dolls, that they would often end up nude in the bed exploring each others bodies.
Both I and my sister found this strange, and I mean the doll part, the sexual part seems as to be at the right age. Neither I or my sister could relate to that, since she had stopped playing with dolls around the age of 8. She said that the only ones who still played with dolls at her age was… I will call them, "The unpopular kids". perhaps these are the children of those parents who actually have what I would call modesty, actually setting boundaries at how their children should behave at a certain age.
I see a big problem in this tween business, obviously, as it’s fucking strange that they actually sell bras for a demography as low as down to the age of 8. There’s a very small percentage of girls who have hit puberty at that age, even less have started developing breasts.
whenever i see/hear someone (who isnt like 80 and actually has experience to back up his statements) say something along the lines of “the world is/has been going…” i immediately just think “… right”
at any given moment you:
-experience less than 2% of the globe
-you know the thoughts and motivations of less than 1.510^-8% of the world’s population
-your life will last, on average, less than 1.1510^-5% of modern humanity’s existence
That’s a completely different issue though. Puberty is hard enough without being denied something that make things more comfortable. Starting to grow breasts at 8 is NOT unusual.
Oh, I forgot to mention one thing;
You remember those false scandals about “sex bracelets”?
Yeah, apparently those are real now, based on admissions from pre-teens being interviewed.
still not a reason to let it all go to shit
a reason to stay humble and cautiously optimistic though
no
this is exactly the opposite of what we should do
the problem with the world is that silent majority vs the loud minority
which has already led to:
- rich minority vs poor majority
- smart minority in the media, and loud Justin Beibers/Lady Gagas
- and in society now we have the humble majority vs the weirdos like trannys who are teaching kids that you can change your boy/girl status whenever you like
i didnt say be quiet and wait for things to change by themselves, “change” is always happening and “the struggle” is one that never ends
also, there’s actually a biological reason why some people have a gender identity different from their biological gender
As bur mention, there is a biological reason. The brain more resembles one for the other gender than for their biological.
Then of course, there’s those who doesn’t want to put themselves in any gender group, don’t know what causing that, if it’s biological or if it’s some kind of protest saying that they won’t choose side in the equality debate. Which would be stupid anyways since you shouldn’t choose a gender side there, just whether you want it to change or not.
Which reminds me, here in sweden the influx of people using the word “hen” is growing, for good and bad.
Quick history, the origin is, as I’ve heard, the finnish word “hän” which is a gender-neutral pronoun. First publicly mentioned in 1994 by the linguist Hans Karlgren, but can be traced back to as early as the 50’s. It was announced as a mean to use a pronoun in a text where the gender isn’t determined or, isn’t important.
Sometime between 2000 and 2010 some HBTQ-people(Homosexual, bisexual, transexual, queer, basically just a variant of LGBT) started calling themselves for “hen”. Since then the use have practically exploded and you see the word everywhere, from blogs and newspapers to big companies job descriptions.
I’m all for the use when the gender isn’t yet determined, as in job listing. But not when a HBTQ person use it to describe themself, you were born as that gender, so unless you’ve undergone an operation removing any trace of gender, I’ll use the appropriate pronoun.
I mean, read this quote. Taken directly from wikipedia:
…därför måste modern vara hemma minst sex månader i början fastän “hen” kanske inte alls har nån lust…
…therefore must the mother spend the first six months at home even though “he/she” might not want to…
A mother can only be a she, therefore the use of “hen” here is stupid. The quote is from a breastfeeding debate from 2009. Going deeper it seems as if that particular instance was about male breastfeeding, which I hope was about feeding breast milk from a bottle.
side note: The swedish pronouns for gender is [i]hon/i and [i]han/i[/SIZE]
I don’t believe anyone has the right to tell anyone what they should identify as. Be it gender or anything else. Who whether someone has a slit or tube between their legs? If they think of themselves as a certain gender, for what silly principle would you reject that?
It’s like saying you won’t admit someone is gay until they’ve had sex with someone of their own gender, because otherwise it doesn’t “count”.
I’m not telling anyone to do anything, I’m just pointing out that we shouldn’t let these people dictate radical changes to what society views as normal, as FERGUS mentioned above.
Despite her demographic, lady gaga is prey fucking down to earth and intelligent. She has an extensive background in classical music training and got a damn good education. I don’t like her music, but I respect the hell out of her.
The same principle for which I wouldn’t call a carriage or a wagon for an automobile, it isn’t.
Now if you add a motor or an engine and a reliable way to steer it, then I would be able to call it an automobile.
So if you haven’t undergone surgery and hormone treatmeant to change sex, then you’ll always be the gender you were born into.
I think the fact that she has a classical music background makes me respect her even less than I would if she didn’t have it. I mean, she knows how good music can be and still writes pure commercial garbage.
I’m sorry, but I’ve never heard of any transgender person trying to dictate anything. All they want is to be accepted for who they are and for their identity to be respected, like anyone else.
Last I checked a car doesn’t have a conscious mind with its own identity. A car doesn’t feel like a car. A person does feel like a man or a woman, or something in between. Are you saying you know other people’s identities better than themselves? That’s arrogant to say the least.
To avoid confusion (and maybe to gain some perspective), please note the difference between “gender” and “sex”.
Also, what would you call a vehicle that has both an engine and horses to carry it? These categories of “male” and “female” are cultural constructs and do not apply to the real world. Gender is a spectrum of mental states.
You can’t just reject how someone defines their being, and justify it with semantics. If you do, at least admit that you’re being bigoted and discriminatory.
If someone deludes themselves into thinking they are actually a bat, does that make them a bat?
Just something to consider.
Only if they readily interbreed with other bats.
Are you saying people delude themselves into thinking they’re a different gender than they really are? Sounds a bit like choosing to be gay.
It rather does sound like that actually.
