So, I’ve spent a lot of time animating with 3ds max for the past year and half, but I am looking to start learning a program that would work hand in hand with 3ds max for adding certain effects and what not, does anyone have a suggestion what program would work well?

Late to the show here, but I don’t see how is Zen abusing his mod powers. There are rules, very logical ones too, and they should be respected. Because this place was a shitfest before doesn’t mean it should still be. Fancy insulting him so gratuitously really deserved an infraction imo. Deleting the bullshit is one thing, but wouldn’t it be better if there wasn’t any to begin with ?
I don’t think we should go back to GamerNode, G-rated days where even swearing was censored, but there is a level of civilness that should be respected because this is a public forum. I don’t think any of us would want to send a Valve’s employee or a dev’s family member fuck himself, no? Humour, fun, is one thing but it shouldn’t be one-sided. Harassing new members because they don’t know as much about the mod or aren’t fluent enough in English “as they should” maybe fun for some, but it really is one-sided fun.

I understood what you were saying. I seized on one phrase, perhaps unfairly to you, but it served a larger point: that whether or not one perceives stupidity in Ladies Club - and that certainly is subjective -,doesn’t mean that people can resort to gang-flaming noobs or intentionally shitting up threads. And I know that you weren’t advocating that, I was addressing a larger issue.
The original complaint was that I locked a thread. I locked it after some guys from that thread went into an In-Games Issues thread and shit it up. ODB seems to be under the mistaken impression that he dictates where and what I moderate. The whole thing was a provocative troll, since he already knew that we moderate Ladies Club, as he asked for help when his thread in here got shit-up. You can’t have it both ways, pal. “No moderating in Ladies Club!” except when his thread got shit up, then he wanted it to be moderated and wanted someone banned.
The entire issue is ridiculous. We do moderate Ladies Club when it’s necessary. And I’m tired of “the new forums are so stupid and boring because we don’t get to flame people and shit up threads anymore”. If that’s someone’s idea of a good time, they’re not going to get my sympathy. And we don’t need the shit stirred with some thread about how “it’s so stupid that we can’t flame noobs anymore bla bla bla.” Grow-up.

Try to see the best in people. Perhaps we’re coordinating an effective way to collaborate and respond to extraterrestrial threats with maximal effect / minimal inter-element communication. With practice and routine exposure to a variety of others, united against a fictional threat, we may better know how to together combat a real one when it comes.
