Anyone on the East Coast of the U.S bunkering down from the hurricane? That things a friggin monster, hope you guys stay safe and don’t have to get the floaties out…

I’m genuinely curious about this.
TGP, Hubi, Winged, etc, are going to get hit hard.
I know, that’s why I’m asking how they’re going.
My dad’s over there right now visiting my sisters. He’s battening down the hatches…which he shouldn’t even have to do because he’s so far inland. 
It won’t hit landfall for them until tomorrow morning. Hubi’s on Manhattan, so he won’t likely lose power. The evacuations on Manhattan were for those in low-lying areas, i.e., public housing, so that’s not Hubi. The other guys might lose power. It’s possible that areas of NJ and LI could be without power for a week or two depending. Whatever happens, nothing will be done to start to restore power until after Thursday.
I wouldn’t worry about them, there was a lot of time to prepare and there likely won’t be a lot of injuries. Probably the worse thing to happen will be to TGP if loses power and has to go without porn for a few days. Hopefully he’s prepared for that by stockpiling his smut stash.
So it’s 38 degrees right now in Ohio and we’re supposed to be getting a cold front soon as well as all the hurricane rain from the east coast. So once again Ohio exceeds my expectations for strange weather as we’re going to be clobbered by a hurricane of snow in October…
I was hoping this thing was just overhyped, but this doesn’t seem to be the case. I myself will be hunkered down in my room on campus. Building’s a little old, but I’m on the second floor so I shouldn’t be too concerned about leaks. Flooding will be the main issue, since I (and a few others here) live on the Island. Hopefully it won’t flood that much.
I’m worried more about my parents, brother, and actual house, though. They’re more southwest, closer to the actual action.

I came into work. Don’t know if I should have, but I am recording CDs to the computer as this is where my iPod is linked to, and I lost a bunch of tracks when the old computer crashed.
I’m not worried about the hurricane yet.

East Coast here, power’s flickered a few times, but it’s not that bad although I’m more north of the storm. Supposedly going to get real bad tonight but i’ll be working, hoping we don’t loose power and I spend my night emptying freezers.
Who thinks it will be bad in Toronto, Canada? My mum has family there and is worried.
On a separate note, I still haven’t finished Black Mesa.

I stopped at surface tension and then my HDD failed me. Got to buy another one in the near future.
