I remember back in B.C. when Greece used to have brains.

EDIT: In other news, nothing clears out cold symptoms like a couple big gulps of vinegar.

personally my weapon of choice is fernet branca

I was sick on the 31st and the 1st now that all the food and booze is gone I am feeling well again

2013 is looking like a shitty year already

I didn’t drink nearly enough on New Years since I had to stay functional to take care of my girlfriend who drank way too much way too quickly and went into a mini coma.

I didn’t drink more than a glas of Whisky on New years since I was at home reading Robinson Crusoe for my english class.
I didn’t really felt for drinking either, since every time I’ve done it for the last six month I’ve ended up crying in a corner.

Robinson Crusoe was such a terrible book.

I can’t really recall much of the last few days but unfortunately this was not entirely drink related.

I live and work in Newport, but for NYE I was at Lamsey’s place - which was good. But then at 8 o’clock in the bloody morning I was on a train back to newport for a WONDERFUL day of work. Of course I was thrilled with this. Worked until 4, so it wasn’t all that bad and then back to Wokingham for the rest of the day and today.

I could do with some sleep. Also my liver isn’t happy. Ah well.

I don’t know how I feel about Crusoe.

nye sucked

it was cold and wet and i wasnt really drunk and i hadnt really made plans so i just hung out with one friend and it was a pretty standard/boring night

Spent NYE in Sweden with 4 friends + a friend of a friend. We had great food, lots of beer, champagne, cava, glƶgg, wine and nibbles. Add to that some boardgames and Mario Kart Wii and you get a very nice evening/day.

Also, Swedes love their fireworks. I think there was non-stop fireworks going off from 11PM to 1AM. Then at midnight everybody went outside to watch and started offering drinks and food.

i was still queuing to get into the club at the stroke o midnight. pretty rad time after tho.

i was like a minute from home at midnight

most underwhelming new year’s in years

What brings this on?

Opinion?

Fergus said he was reading it in his post. I don’t know why I didn’t like it so much. I read it for an English class, too. We read Silas Marner in that same class and I really liked that book, not so much Robinson Crusoe.

You can say that again. I’ve heard almost constant fireworks for weeks in advance, and during the 31st it sounded like a battlefield for more than twelve hours.

I spent the evening at home making my shitty New Year’s Flash video and playing Dishonored, I drank nothing but tea because there was something wrong with the card reader at the grocery store.
All in all a pleasant night.

I know that feel, sis.

I once spent the Fourth of July at someone’s house. They had a great view of a neighborhood in the valley below, and there were fireworks going off all over. It was crazy.

Tried quitting the forums again for the last couple of days, needless to say, I’m still here
It’s actually harder than I thought. Looking back, I had a lot of fun being here with all you guys through all these years, I get all these weird feelings when I try to delete the site from my bookmark
So I guess I’ll be around here for a while longer, just because

I don’t know why I stick around here. You’re all a bunch of dicks.
