The Unofficial Official Chat Thread

I finally bought Unreal, and incidentally also the sequel and every one of the Unreal tournament games. I’m gonna start playing as soon as I get another page and a half of my term paper done.

Edit: When the professor says the paper has to be at least six pages, does that actually include the bibliography and/or title page?

Ask the professor?

1.15 spaces per line.
Shit really makes a difference in the long run.

Most of my high school papers were double spaced.

Holy fuck for some reason for the past couple of weeks this forum kept giving me a script error that would prevent me from even visiting it.

Be warned, Unreal 2, aside from a handful of really cool segments, is pretty generic compared to the first.

But the flamethrower is great.

I hated EVERYTHING about Unreal 2. One of the worst games I ever bought.

I didn’t think it was that good, but I didn’t hate it

The reviews I’ve seen of Unreal 2 are completely mixed. Some people hate it, some think it’s okay.

In any case, I’m enjoying the first game. I didn’t really like the water temple that much, but other than that it’s pretty good.

Also, why is the rocket launcher called the eightball if it only has six barrels?

Firefox, right? Me and Fnork have the same issue. It facilitated my switch to Chrome, actually.

I haven’t had that problem and I use firefox.

Me neither. Might be specific to a certain version or plugin or OS or god knows what else.

I deleted every single piece of history I ever had from this forum and that seemed to fix it.

I decided to try it because I noticed this site worked when I was in private browsing mode as per my normal dirty browsing sessions

I regularly clear my browser history, so that would probably explain it.

It’s named after the ammunition it launches.

The rockets/grenades it shoots are are called eightballs (obviously named after the Eight Ball from pool) most likely because of their small, round shape, as opposed to most rockets that have shafts.

Little kids, much like old people, are the best conversation mates. I do wonder how easy it would be to kill T. rex using modern weapons.

I can’t use Chrome because of the way it handles Flash conflicts with the way another program of mine handles Flash causing my other program to destabilize. I use Firefox and there’s no issue with that kind of conflict. Oh well.

Translation: Chrome can’t handle my streaming porn.

Depends on how you define modern. Just a fire a railgun at that bitch.

Pfft, not really. Chrome can handle my streaming porn just fine, thank you very much. No, the program is Poser, a 3D animation tool, and it has a conflict with Chrome. It’s a known issue.

Besides, I don’t like how I’m forced to accept the “minimalist” UI of the browser. I wants mah “File”, “Edit”, etc menus! Firefox gives me this, Chrome doesn’t.

It’s a matter of getting used to it.
