Apparently when Gabe Newell was talking about Portal 2 someone asked about counterstrike 2 :hmph:
And the odd thing is Gabe didn’t say “no” he said “We have to ship out Portal 2 and DOTA 2 before counterstrike 2”
Valve…I am disappoint
He said. “Then we will worry about Counter Strike 2”. But that doesn’t mean, that they will constantly work on it after the release of Dota2 and Portal 2.
And even if they work on it, they have more than 280 employees, I don’t think that all are gonna work on it.

Their other games are so much better, Counterstrike should be left to die infested with all those 13 year old americans on it.
Well, I don’t care about Counter Strike anyway, but maybe they are gonna make it somehow better and add some nice things into it, instead of making the same Counter Strike with the latest version of the engine.
Could do…it seems pointless though as they already have TF2 which is much better and a game like counterstrike has to go up against CoD and such. They’re probably be better off leaving it and getting on with Episode 3 >.>

The problem with Portal 2, even though it looks awesome and super fun and I can’t wait… is that ever since Portal, Aperture has looked kind of ridiculous.
Where’s the Laboratories part of Aperture Labs? Well… there isn’t. Just “test chambers” and observation rooms and gigantic useless pistons. Where exactly did they develop the blasted portal gun, and all the other technology?
Portal 2, I hoped there’d be some view of some actual labs (like Black Mesa Research Facility is MADE of) but no, it looks like progressively more ridiculous testing facilities. They’re really cool, but they’re also ridiculous.
I mean seriously now.
May not have been developed in the Enrichment Center. They may have more than one facility (kind of like how Black Mesa aquired White Forest before Half Life) and it does look a bit insane but remember it has been hundreds of years since the first game and GlaDOS has been rebuilding. Also a lot of the test chambers in Portal 2 may not have existed in Portal. They may have been newly created by GlaDOS so they may used to have been labs. We won’t really know until it comes out anyhow.
You don’t know if you haven’t played it yet. Since you will look “behind the scenes” there will be such rooms for 100%. Like in the Wheatley trailer, you will see how turrets are made, for example. The focus on the story and the story of AS is bigger than in the first one.
